Those were surprisingly good impressions of the characters. It took me a while to realize they weren't re-edited clips from actual episodes.

That Troughton impression was so spot on it was eerie! The Hartnell sound-alike might have used a few too many "Hmms" but the voice itself was also rather convincing.

Sincerely,

Bill

Yeah, the Hartnell impression wasn't quite as consistent or convincing as the Troughton and Hines impressions. It was still very good, though.

Ah, the latest from Christoper Thomson. I discovered him a few weeks back and tried to start a thread about him. As cool as it is that Big Finish has Frazier Hines perform the Second Doctor, they really ought to consider giving this guy a job.

Here, he does a wonderful "Timecrash"-esqe meeting between Two and Twelve, with Thomson performing both (actually all three) Doctors. I love Twelve's descriptions of his previous incarnations (Eight is "The One-Hit Wonder"). His Capaldi can use some work, but his Troughton is amazing.

He also does a series of fan-audios for the Second Doctor.

Here he delivers the Pandorica speech as Troughton.

And here he performs the Curator lines from Day of the Doctor as Troughton.

That guy is indeed great. And I think The Glimpse is his little masterpiece - its among other things, nicely written. So much so, that consider in my "fanon" (fan continuity). Mandatory viewing in any Second Doctor marathon. :)

Hmm, I didn't think they impressions were that good, Jaime was horrendous, sound Manc or something half the time to me.

Still, kudos to him though for putting in the effort.

I thought that "The Glimpse" was pretty good. For some reason the 1st Doctor impression reminded me of Yoda from The Empire Strikes Back for some reason, but besides that I enjoyed it. The 2nd/12th Doctor video was decent, although not quite as well written.

I commented the guy on youtube on one of his videos.
I suggested to him to try more impressions of Eleventh. I think his voice is absolutely perfect for that and probably just requires some practice.

I think you're right. His Troughton was pretty good, but sounded like he had a stuffy nose, which Matt does too.

Oh my giddy aunt, that was fantastic. Really used the whole telesnap thing to its full advantage. His Hartnell does border on Yoda a bit, but overall it's really fun to watch, capturing much of the essence of the two deliveries.

^The Hartnell impersonation was done by a different actor than the Troughton and Hines, according to the end credits. The Hartnell impressionist was Siobhan somebody, which surprised me, since I thought that was only a feminine name.
