Convention Photos

Max Grodenchik, who spent all day with me and my friend, just talking about everything. A splendid human being. :)

.

At one of the Sacramento conventions, my daughter and I spent about a half an hour talking with him. A really cool guy.

Here's my favorite non Star Trek photo:

Also, you tell your kids not to accept rides from strangers, but....

Got many photos on my facebook profile. Too lazy to post them all here. I go to several conventions per year.

This was from a convention a few years ago, when I met Terry Farrell.

I am always amazed by all the people who can go to conventions and meet their heroes, make friends and just have a wonderful time. Seems so impossible to me.

I had such a blast meeting all these people. It was one of the best weekends of my life and I wont soon forget it.

It's so nice to be around people who share the same interests as you and you can interact with in a way that others wouldn't understand

I just found this picture today from another convention I went to.

I cant wait for the next convention!!! I think I'm going to the Seattle one next month

^That's adorable!
Thank you!! Sadly right after this convention some jerk ran over the tail of his costume with his suit case and ruined the tail then when the guy when over to confront him about it he proceeded to take his head piece and throw it on the ground damaging it as well...

sadly that is the down side of our passion, so many people view us as less of a person if we spend our time building costumes or traveling to conventions. they think it's just a waste of time when in reality it brings a sense of worth and joy. some people don't see than.

^ Love the shirt, Flux. :D

Anyhoo, here I am, on the way to Chicago (for the very first time!) to attend the 2010 Chicago Star Trek convention!

Captain Kruge (Christopher Lloyd) also took the time out to visit us. I didn't get much of a chance to talk to him, though, as he was on a tight schedule.

So jealous! :) Man that had to be pretty neat. I'd love to go to a Con someday. Went to a local one and it was ok, but no one really, really well known was there. Didn't mind though, still got to learn some stuff :). But I would have loved to have at least seen some of the more well known celebs.

My next con will be next month it will have a guest who has appeared in ST but it's not really a ST con.

I just realized Flux is really Ed Norton. My head just exploded.

Eww... Brain goo.

what large city is closest to you (if you dont mind my asking)
I live in Albuquerque, but I don't know if "large" is the appropriate adjective.

Back on topic...

WOW that is so amazing, You are very lucky. I've never met any of the actual cast members other than a 10 second exchange between me and Walter Koenig. Was it everything you hopd it would be?!

It was neat. I was on cloud 9 all day after meeting them. While they were all wonderful, the highlight of my day was meeting Armin Shimerman. My friend Larry has that picture. I'll have to get it from him so I can show it here.

What's the difference between going to a convention or going to a stadium to support your favourite team.
