I was gonna ask the sameI really like this. Would love to see someone do a 3d rendering.
Have you given any thought to a front diagram to go with the side and top diagrams you created?
Maybe, but canon ships in the Trek universe are named for fictional and real people alike, so it could go either way.I get the reason you called it the Nimoy Class but Shouldn't this be the Spock Class? Wouldn't that be more apropos? Just wondering.
Thanks mate.Very good design for a Awesome Man of Epic![]()
Thank you bro. I opted the rust red-brown because I liked the muted serene feel to it, almost like a sailing ship. Something that Nimoy himself always seemed to convey when every time I had seen him in real life when meeting with him.I know my friend, we'll all miss him. A truly wonderful design, to tribute someone truly unique and irreplaceable. I had thoughts about doing something similar myself, but have found myself so busy since the beginning of the year. I've been playing way too much on my 3DS, and yet can't seem to be satisfied enough with my progress!
But I would have liked it better if you went with a richer red or orange, maybe even hot rod red, like on the older Vulcan cruisers, back when they had a sense of style, instead of that rust red, because this is Nimoy that we're talking about here!
Thank you sir.Excellent. I love your marker work.

Thanks. I do have a front view, I will post it up soon along with a 3/4 perspective...I have just been tied up with work. So keep an eye out.I really like this. Would love to see someone do a 3d rendering.

Generally I do not enter contests, just not my thing.Might qualify to enter this month's contest.
Thanks bro...I also incorporated a bit of Romulan in there as well, as Spock was very much into "reunification", so I tried to incorporate that is some capacity. An excellent blend of Vulcan and human elements- very appropriate.
I Called her Nimoy-Class because, generally, when it comes to actors, I name classes of ships after real-life people when they pass; as opposed to Characters. The Class would be named after them while ships within the class would be named after their roles. So like Nimoy-Class USS David Kibner, after his role in the invasion of the body snatchers. And yes that would mean there would be a USS Galvatron.I get the reason you called it the Nimoy Class but Shouldn't this be the Spock Class? Wouldn't that be more apropos? Just wondering.
Thank you. Feel free to mesh her up bro, I would be honoured...I will be posting more of her soon. I place her length at around 350m give or take.Atolm,
This is an inspiring design. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to make a 3d model of your model in LightWave.
Do you have other views you could post, and an idea of overall dimensions for her?
Great work!

Thanks a lot. As I had stated earlier in this post of replies, I wanted to blend the elements best I could, as well as adding hints of Romulan as Spock had a thing for Rommies."Spock-Nimoy Class? Best of Both Worlds!
I also love the blend of elements, Human and Vulcan, and I like the muted nature of the color. Hope you say yes to 3-D!![]()
Thanks always my friendA great design.
Thanks mate. I am sure whomever undertakes her will do an astounding job. Of that I am certain, as there is no loss of talent and dedication in us Trek fans.Such an eligant design, great for a science vessel, I cannot wait to see a 3D render of this
/lol thanks bro. I had to do something... and this is the only thing I know how to do.I was asking myself when you could do a homage like this and... voila! Here is the ship.
