IIRC, three issues. Reed hired him on until he could perfect a super-powered "Thing suit" for the then powerless Ben Grimm.

Marvel is making some kind of announcement tomorrow on the View. They made the Female Thor announcement there...I'm wondering if they're gonna announce G. Willow Wilson's next book or maybe something bigger?

^ I would absolutely LOVE this. Still am behind on her "X-Men" run. I believe Rich suggested bringing back "Generation X" since Wood brought back Monet.

Depending on how orthodox Kamal's parents are, there could already be an arranged marriage in the pipeline for Kamala, but Medusa likes Kamala Khan and her inhuman interests would supersede human interests.

    Not for herself silly.

But folding Ms. Marvel's bloodline into the Inhuman Royal family seems like a good idea even if if it's only just about politics. The New Inhumans need representation, or they will revolt, or at the least be listless about obeying orders.

Medusa is going to approach Kamala's parents soon and arrange a marriage.

Inhuman marriages are selected by the genetic council to make sure that the next generation of children are powerful enough to defend the city but not so powerful enough to destroy the world.

Blackbolt and Medusa were not allowed to have children, which begs the question as to why these cousins were allowed to Marry if they couldn't produce an heir?

    They had a boy anyway.

Her child is not supposed to exist and is a danger to reality.

The New Inhumans are not under the purview of the Genetic Council yet.

If the council still even exists after all the recent upheavals.

    http://marvel.wikia.com/Ahura_Boltagon_(Earth-616)

It's just a question of how Medusa manipulates these two kids into being a couple, and who her conspirators are whether what she is doing becomes thought of as sweet or sinister?

I don't remember being so impressed by Ahura in the Future Foundation.

Although, wasn't everyone in Bentley's shadow?

Allyn feel free to use the spoiler code :)

Now I'm thinking it is the long rumoured Jean Grey solo book.

If Bendis is going, does that mean that Xavier is not staying, and the original X-men are returning to the past?

While he is in the future, since Xavier is a man from a bygone sexist era, you'd think that he would want to know about all his future sexual victories and take a stab at them now that he's stuck in the future too.. Unless, he isn't stuck, and they can all go home in X-Men #600, because they were only rooted ot the present until the events of Uncanny X-Men #600 had been taken care of, was time going to let the kids get back to their lives in the 60s, I mean 90s.

    Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

Lilandra has been dead since the War of Kings?

No space strange for Chuck this week.

Based on her Ms. Marvel work, I really hope this isn't the case. I mean, she'd be marginally better than Remender or Hickman I guess, but I'm very, very unimpressed with her stuff that I've read. Maybe she could do pre-established characters better than she's done Ms. Marvel, but I doubt it.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

I just couldn't get into the new Ms. Marvel, at all. Most of the first issue was just boring or very standard teenager stuff. Then it ended by having the new MM shapeshift into looking like the real Ms. Marvel, Carol Danvers, which kind of felt like a middle finger to fans of Carol Danvers (which I definitely am). I think I read the second issue, but it left no impression at all. The current MM book is far from the bottom of the barrel when it comes to current bad comics, but from what I got through its solidly mediocre. Also, the character is so lame she even brought down the issues of Amazing Spider-Man and SHIELD she had cameos in, but that was obviously more Dan Slott and Mark Waid's faults, although I don't know who could write "hyperactive generic superhero fan girl" any better.

I just don't get the appeal at all. It had mediocre writing and a character that even good writers can't make compelling. I have nothing against the book, like i said I didn't hate it, but I'd prefer to not have anymore comics written by G. Willow Wilson, at least books with characters I like to read.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

The turn around issue for me was her team up with Wolverine.

    :)

How come the rest of the Kamala's haven't cocooned up and changed?

This is supposed to be about bloodlines after all.

Switched at birth, adopted, or did the rest of the family narrowly avoid the airstreams of Terrigen fallout?

That was a story somewhere, an New inhuman freaked out suspecting that he was adopted and no one had bothered to tell him and that his family who had not transformed into inhumans had always been laughing at him for being the adopted kid.

    She he killed them.

Terrigen saturation is inconsistent, whic is why his siblings only just began transformation as he finished murdering them.

    "DOH!"

Makes sense. Kirk55555 definitely fits the bill of a guy who thinks that way.

I know Bendis is a tough sell in these parts, but I am enjoying greatly both of his X-Books right now, though I'm enjoying All-New a little more than Uncanny at the moment, however I am loving how he's freely killing off major characters in Uncanny (even though I know there's a huge reset button staring us in the face, lol).

And to answer Guy's question, yes, I believe Xavier being in the present is how the past X-Men will return to the past, when the book concludes after Bendis leaves it (someone told me there was always a definite end in sight for this title.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

    Oh.

There's no reason for All-New X-Men to conclude just because the kids go back home and have their memories scrubbed.

It's been done before and it'll be done again.

An Original X-Men series set in the past between establish continuity to flesh out what we've always thought was the full story.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

I am, in no way, shape or form, one of those people. People who talk about "SJWs" are crazy. My problems with Ms. Marvel have nothing to do with either her or the author's gender/race/religion. I just don't think G. Willow Wilson is a particularly good writer, or the new MM a particularly good character. The story bored me, and so did the character. Its that simple. I could go on, talk about how I love Gail Simone or how a lot of my favorite superheroes are female characters, but arguing against baseless accusations from someone with a weird grudge doesn't seem like a good use of time.

I don't have any kind of grudge against you. I simply share many of the same interests as you do. That's why we always seem to pop up in similar threads.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Well, I'd say accusing someone of being a person who spouts stupid things about "SJWs", like they're some gamergater or sexist a-hole, seems grudge like. Or at the very least its making some weird connections with no evidence. If someone disagrees with someone else, they must be the enemy and be on the opposite side in every issue :vulcan: Its just weird, and while I'll admit to saying stupid things sometimes, lumping me in with those kind of people is just wrong, and extremely insulting.
