Depends on who they get to run it. The Disney name alone won't make it a success.1. What do you think the outcome might be

And they already have an evil queen, perfect!
Mickey Mouse or Goofy with pointed ears?1. What do you think the outcome might be[?]
A lot of photoshopping of Micky Mouse ears on Star Trek staples. Probably a crossover with Star Wars.
Not if Paramount/CBS were willing to sell the rights. Everything has a price. It would never happen. Disney would have to buy out Paramount and CBS away from Viacom, which they have no need to do as they already own a studio and a network.

No. That's pretty much an impossibility.2. Do you think this will help the trek films go from niche at the box office to box office juggernaut[?]
If you mean the definition of "Rodenberry's dream" most commonly referenced by fans on this forum, then I would really hope not. That would make for just about the most boring movie imaginable.3. do you think it will follow Rodenberry's dream[?]

why no for number 2.
star trek 2009 showed trek has the potential to be a box office juggernut. it grossed 257m in usa alone and added an extra 100m outside usa. this is the same trek than did not have any usa foreign record until trek 2009.
its to bad the writers ruined things in STID and it reflected in the box office.

The problem with that of course is that neither was a Star Trek film in any sense that mattered.
