    June.

Right now they're planning on taking Game of Thrones to seven seasons.

    Re: Netflix: Game of Thrones

Which has nothing to do with Orange is the New Black in any way, shape, or form.

Anyway, my brother and sister-in-law borrowed my Netlfix access recently and binge-watched through OitNB and convinced me to me watch though it, and found it to be a great show.

Lots of fun and interesting characters, Kate Mulgrew does a fantastic job as "Red" and I can't help but sort-of love little meth-addled Pennsatucky. And Laura Prepon? Yes please! :D

So, can't wait for Season 3 to be released this summer, but my biggest wonder is how much the show can go on considering Piper was only supposed to serve 15 or 16 months. The first episode of the 3rd season implies it'll take place sometime in October which should be knocking on the end of Piper's sentence (assuming she serves all of it and isn't released early, as is common to happen for population control) since the first season started sometime before Thanksgiving.

So, I'm wondering is how much longer can the show continue on without doing something that gets Piper's sentence extended?

Anyway, really enjoy the show and am glad I picked it up.

Jason Biggs? Apparently wants to keep himself typecast.

I would be very happy if Larry was no longer a part of the show. He is so boring and now that he and Piper are broken up, his storyline has no purpose. Polly can go away as well.

I hope they release the S3 trailer soon!

I think Larry is hilarious and represents everything Piper was before she went inside.

Season 2 started setting the show up for life after Piper and made it more about the jail than her, which is great because she is the weakest link in the show.

But how season 2 ended she could have time added. I am curious to how Netflix will end their shows. Showtime has had a huge hand in how (badly) their shows (Dexter and Weeds) have ended so Netflix I hope won't overdue their welcome. I'm more worried about House of Lies than OitNB.

Who knows, if they release Piper, she can come back as a WPA (woman's prisoner assoc) volunteer and/or prisoner advocate after she sells her best selling memoir.

I suspect they'll tack on time for lying under oath, or for fighting with Alex once Alex lands back in jail.

Weeds should have ended after it's third season, but it received 5 more seasons each of which were insane and over the top and different. So anything is possible.

I hope the show doesn't continue if it starts to go downhill. Whenever it ends, it better be on a high note. Some shows just don't know when to stop. I'm looking at you, Vampire Diaries!

I liked the road trip one, but it wasn't actually good. What kept me watching was that even though it did go downhill it DID as you say change everything around a lot.

I agree that the show doesn't necessarily need Piper at this point. Hell, if the show was just made of Poussey and Tastee scenes, I would probably still watch.

I visited my parents over Christmas and got them hooked. It's hard to get my Dad to actually watch anything, and he was the one who always wanted to watch another episode after we'd already seen a bunch in a row.

I dunno, the show "might" need Piper, in a round-about way it is "her" show considering it's a show based on a book that will be written by her character. I don't mind her, or Alex, as much as other seem to, though I agree have more interesting back stories and such.

    Hey, I have a question:

    What happened to the screwdriver?

Piper carries a screwdriver out of the workshop to eat lunch, carrying it in the pocket of sweat-coat. She drops her coat outside, with the screwdriver and leaves the coat behind when she goes back in after lunch. (She forgot about her coat?)

When the day is over they discover the screwdriver is missing, and Piper apparently forgets she had it, and they don't know who borrowed it due to the girl in the cage not noting down who borrowed what.

A crazy search goes on over the next couple days with the COs trying to find the screwdriver and eventually it goes undiscovered as Boo snuck it out of Piper's "room." Eventually the CO who runs the maintenance shop buys a new screwdriver and replaces the missing one, in order to ease the panic on the grounds and potentially save his job. The screwdriver remains with Boo.

A conflict brews between Piper and Pennsatucky and a physical confrontation seems imminent. Boo gives Piper back the screwdriver in order to potentially use as a weapon.

During the fight Piper draws on Pennsatucky but 'Tucky swipes her shiv at Piper causing her to drop the screwdriver.

This is the last we see of it.

Early in Season 2 we learn that Crazy Eyes was having a bit of an "episode" and came outside, saw Piper, and went into a rage -seeing Piper as her mother- and knocked out Piper (after she had knocked out Pennsatucky.) At some point the COs come out and find Piper and Pennsatucky and get them to medical treatment and put them in SHU.

.... Did they not see the screwdriver there? If the saw it would they not make the connection that either Piper or Pennsatucky had it and was using it as a weapon out here? And since Piper is the one who works in the maintenance area she'd most likely be the one who had it?

Yes, it was replaced by the guy who runs the maintenance area but the screwdriver -a potential weapon- would still be lying there. And, okay, maybe it was masked in the snow. Wouldn't it be found whenever the snow melted and the connections drawn?

Seems like the screwdriver was mostly forgotten about by the show-runners.

The screw driver was covered up by the jail like everything else that has been going on there.

True, but at the same time they seem to still more-or-less enforce prison rules on the inmates, and if they found the screwdriver laying nearby in the aftermath of a fight, one of the fighters being someone who works in tools area of the prison, you'd think they'd put two-and-two together. And then start asking questions on the guy who runs the maintenance area on how they found the screwdriver when it's was already discovered a few weeks prior.

Ummm.... they rehired a rapist, so yeah the prison really cares about who works there.

She used a screw driver in a fight that the whole thing was lied about. Clearly just part of the cover up and the idiots who run the prison.

What's her name rehired a rapist, nobody else wanted him there. Caputo wanted Mendes gone, but I suppose he then forced another albeit more likable rapist not to confess.

But they only enforce the rules when it is in their best interest to do so. The guards' names escape me at the moment, but he threatened to send a pregnant woman to max if he admitted the child was his and not Mendez's. Also he specifically ordered the guards to arbitrarily give out punishments then fired a woman who only wanted to punish prisoners who deserved it.

If following the rules would harm the guards' careers, they would not do it.

It's interesting that next season begins in December. At the end of season 2 they went out of their way to state Piper had eight months left on her sentence. I believe in Christmas in season 1 she'd been there 4 months. So that would mean, her original sentence is just about up.

They did give a lot of room for Piper to have her sentence extended. But I wouldn't mind Piper leaving jail either. It wouldn't send the best message if the show ended just because Piper's sentence was up.

First episode is really good. They don't jump into the action and just show the state of things and have fun with the characters.

Who is that woman who left her infant on the ground so she could go into a port-o-potty and snort heroin? Is that a new character?

Just finished watching, and I don't think I needed to see the last 10 minutes of this episode (I'm trying to avoid spoilers) because it felt like it dragged. For a season finale, you do not want the final 10 minutes of your season dragging and that is what happened here.

Overall, it was a good season, but the the loss of Nicky really hurt the show in my opinion. Maybe it was the shock of it, but with Nicky gone there was something missing and I don't think the show ever recovered from it. There were some interesting storylines, and I really liked the Caputo/Danny/Corporate storyline the best, but other than that, I think I liked the previous seasons better. I'd rank them as they came out: Season 1, than 2, than 3.

    Grade: C+
