Your First or Greatest Cartoon Crush

How can I forget about Frozen. My modern day crush, instead of Lucy from The Lego Movie, was Anna. Loved her personality.

^ Agreed. I forgot all about Elsa! Also, Anna. Oh, and Kristoff is adorable, too. :adore:

Psi/Mercedes from the Once Upon A Time... animated shows from the 80's would be one of my first cartoon crushes...

I had to dig around a bit, but I could see why she would be one of your first cartoon crushes. :)

And my modern one was made plain ages ago:

Elsa is hawtttt  and I found it amusing that expresses her independence by making a somewhat revealing ice dress for herself.

Yeah Velma and Anna or two of the bigger crushes over the years.

American Tale, can't remember the characters name, that's another story though.

Ah, your avatar reminds me of another more recent one: Sunset Shimmer. I loved her in the last EG movie. They managed to fully flesh her out and just make a great character. She's smart, funny, and sweet.

Her too, but I started out just thinking of the older ones, back in actual childhood days.

Irma from TMNT was kind of cute in a nerdy way, it was just the voice that was annoying.

Oh, yeah, the voice has so much to do with levels of attraction. Irma was sweet, but her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. Nothing against the VA, of course.

Ann Margrock

As to current ones, I have to admit to a certain fondness for Francine on American Dad, esp when she's in a bikini.

I think Stan agrees with you.

Is this strictly about animated cartoons? I can't think offhand of any animated crushes, but I had three major comic book crushes back in the 60s.
How about newspaper comic strips? I used to fantasize about having romantic adventures with Brenda Starr.

Do puppets count? I always thought Lady Penelope from Thunderbirds was very sexy in that cool, upper-class British way. She was one hot piece of wood! :p

^^ Ah, yes, newspaper comics. I had a big crush on Dale Arden in Flash Gordon during the Dan Barry years.

^I wrote a lengthy reply just now and for some reason hitting post logged me out.

Long story short, there is a large "furry/anthro porn ring" online made up of a fairly small amount of people, well hundreds for the internet who draw this utter shite for *all* animated and anthro fandoms. Most people give up after a while, these people have churned out a lot of it over the years continuosly.

Key point is, they're perverts with no life who want to destroy something nice. These characters are important to us and shouldn't be demeaned by that kind of waste of effort.

Gadget will always be the wonderful beautiful little genious she was and no one can draw that away. Same with every new crush since from her to Astrid of HYYTD and Sunset Shimmer of MLP.

Too wonderful a group of characters from comics, cartoons, CGI series and movies, etc to have idiots like that ruining it.

Speaking of that, what about Nancy's Aunt Fritzi? As a kid and not knowing about the origins of the strip, this brunette bombshell in tight sweaters alongside these cartoony round-headed kids... well, she was memorable.

Your childhood memories are easily ruined.

Seriously, if you feel threatened by adult fan art (or adult fan fiction, for that matter), it does come off as a bit immature (and insecure, obviously).
