That is a really amazing recreation.
I myself have been trying to 3D print a model of the original 1701 but am having trouble finding a good one that is not already an STL file. Would you be willing to share the solidworks files you used to create yours? I am a mechanical engineering student and have some experience in the program.

Bernard Guignard, Lego Thrawn, Jman1906: you realise the last update was in October 2012, right!? Congrats on resurrecting a two year two month eighteen day old thread.

Wow, thanks everyone. I haven't really been visiting this forum much lately & it was nice to see an old thread resurrected!

I did, more or less, finish up the Enterprise some time ago. Afterwards, I moved on to the Klingon Battlecruiser in an effort to teach myself Pro/Engineer (Creo, actually.) Whenever I learn new software, I always pick a subject I care about. I think it makes me try a little harder to do a good job -- and it keeps me from taking shortcuts. :)

Here's a rendering combining the Enterprise I make in SolidWorks with the Klingon. The rendering was done in Keyshot.
