It really is interesting to see an episode of "Fantasy Island".

An interesting thing I noticed, watching Fantasy Island from the beginning. The early episodes show a darker plot to them, unlike the happy Ha ha ha stuff about love and money that came later. But also, we see a much darker Roarke with flashes of mean and malevolent, almost. He uses that half-squint glittery-eyes thing he does. I never noticed when it originally aired, but watching in order, now, it is very apparent to me. OP or others notice this?

I believe the newer Fantasy Island with Malcolm McDowell played on the darker riff as well.

Funny to realize that the first Mr. Roarke killed Spock, and the second one killed Kirk . . . .

Come to think of it now, he did, indeed.

Wow, I never put that together!

I can only assume the next Mr. Roarke will be Benedict Cumberbatch.

And Cummer-Buns almost killed both in the NuPlace.

You know, I can see that . . . .

And NuBoot could turn out to be a Fantasy Island episode, all about a guest star William Shatner Fantasy of being a Star Ship Captain! (2 hour Special, of course)

"Boss, de sheep, de sheep!"

Hey, before you all get your shit hot, if they can have the Enterprise rise and launch off the planet from a fucking ocean, well then... :guffaw:

I KNEW one day I would get to see a little bit more of SeaQuest DSV!

:bolian:

Interesting to note cross-over actors between Fantasy Island and Star Trek:

Ricardo Mantàlban

LeVar Burton

France Nuyen

Ed Begley, Jr.

Malcolm Mc Dowell

Skippy Homeier

Diana Muldaur

Johnathan Frakes (As Kirk Wendover!) Holy Shit!

John Larroquette

William Windom

I am sure I have missed some

Marla McGivers herself, Madlyn Rhue also guest-starred, as Lillie Langtry, in 1982. Her MS diagnosis may have already been made by this time; she was wheelchair bound in her continuing role in "Days of Our Lives" a few years later.
