Another interesting question!

The premise is who would you want defending you. I've looked into this a bit, and it seems that in the US, non-lawyers, although they can represent themselves, cannot represent other people in criminal court. In Canada, non-lawyer agents are allowed to represent others in some jurisdictions, depending on the type of criminal offense, if certain criteria are met. And I didn't really look into the issue for other countries.

Now, I don't know where you're from, but for simplicity, let's just say that, no, people that represented themselves on TV or film would not be eligible to represent you, and so are not eligible for the contest. Sorry. :(

I didn't realize that this contest would require so much research into legal matters! :lol:
