Dr. Gillian Taylor

Well, let's see. One hundred dollars divided between the seven of them is about $14.25 apiece...

You think they got equal shares?

I've wondered about that. Uhura and Chekov didn't seem to need any...Scotty, McCoy and Sulu only needed a dime (presumably, after letting their fingers do the walking in the Yellow Pages)...which leaves Kirk and Spock! Hmm, which does go back to where the pizza money is.

A few thoughts on another scientist - Dr. David Marcus:

Layer upon layer of lost potential. Truly a tragic figure, outside of his self-sacrifice. That's an interesting character to me. Although, now that I reflect on it, the STAR TREK movies of The Eighties are definitely of the mind that scientists don't go out, they don't have social lives, they don't do anything else but the science that's required to get Kirk & Spock into a mischief. Except for Carol Marcus, that is, she had The Look necessary for a scientist, especially, to draw a certain Captain to her like a bee ... to a pot of jam! The sole purpose being to Feed & Water his Seed. But it all furthers the enrichment of James T. Kirk who - before the movies, certainly - was kind of 2 dimensional, if you really think about it ...
