That was pretty cringe-worthy. I felt embarrassed when I first heard that line.
Right. The actress Marje (?) Dusay has been pretty good in everything I've seen her in, so it must be the script.
I rather liked him in that. He was good at those borderline zealot parts. heck, he did enough of them! Unlike Liam Sullivan, Homeier at least gave his parts slightly different characters...

Haha, The Squire immediately comes to mind, but so does Daystrom from "The Ultimate Computer." A subtler interpretation could have hammered home the "Oh God, I've created an electronic Frankenstein" idea. But that episode is so overt in its message that I'm not surprised that he's kind of nuts from the beginning.

Sevrin was a much better part for Skip than Melakon. Melakon's simply evil because he's an ambitious Nazi. Sevrin has the internal motivation of technology making him an outcast to society.
I'll take the purported (and unproven) overacting any day over the automatons who populate much of today's tv and movies. Benedict Cummerbund put me to sleep with his Khan:

@ beaker: One trick I learned when cutting radio commercials was keep the microphone close to the mouth and don't put a lot of volume in the voice. But inflection is tricky, because with some words you might overmodulate or pop the mike. That might be what's happening with a lot of television and film, since sometimes whole scenes might be looped on a dubbing stage.
Actually, I think the role of severin was well played. Just my opinion, mind you
I still have trouble sometimes figuring out if Lazarus A or Lazarus B is on the screen.
