Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

It's true, but you need to "opt in", because it is an extra charge. You won't get them by default.

I think you "opt out" if you don't want them, same as the specials. As they just sent me a new one and charged me for it.

It's an option when you subscribe. There's a checkbox on the form where you state whether you want to automatically receive them or not. If you want to change it, call or email customer service and they'll change it for you.

I don't remember the binder option, just the Specials one - were they just lumped together?

Got the Valdore yesterday btw, really nice, looks great sat next to the Enterprise-E too.

Just a question though, how does it work when the specials come out? There's an insight in the magazine that says the Vengeance special is on sale 30 October, which is two weeks after the Valdore came out.
So does that mean the Vengeance and the next issue (the Runabout) both come out on the same day? Or that the Runabout actually won't be out for another 4 weeks, the fortnight after as it were?

got issue 15 which is the uss Equinox, and I reckon it is looks better and has be detailed than the voyager model like the hypersonic waverider shuttle while voyager's aeroshuttle.

Runabout and Vengeance will both come out on the same day, so prepare your wallet. ;)

SO USA subscribers, is everyone getting the All Good Things kit bash of the D? It's on my shipping list, though as much as people have asked about it, I really don't like the design.

But its free (sort of), so I'll take it.

I am. Always had a soft spot in my heart for "Riker's hot rod", truth be told. Hope it comes soon. It's long overdue.

Heh, more a comment on my failing memory.

I recall Seven helping build it, but not the incorporation of any Borg tech, which I don't ever remember being mentioned again. (Although, I only saw most episodes of Voyager once.)

I suppose so, well here it is for those who are interested anyway.

"The vessel was a blend of Starfleet and Borg technology, designed in collaboration between B'Elanna Torres, Tom Paris, Tuvok, Harry Kim and Seven of Nine. It featured a warp streamlined tetraburnium alloy hull, retractable warp nacelles, parametallic hull plating, unimatrix shielding, and a Borg-inspired weapon system, including photonic missiles."

Well, the two patches of Borg Tech (On the back side of the hump up top and under the lip at the back) also kind of gave it away.
