I hope his victims aren't lastingly messed up. That's one Trek movie ruined.![]()

I won't let one actors personal failures ruin a movie.

That's my opinion. I still like Ferris Bueler's Day Off, despite Jeffrey Jones' nasty photography (for that matter, I liked him particularly in Deadwood; was surprised to see him working again).
As disturbing as Jones' stuff was, I think Collins' was worse. Jones' victims were at least teenagers, so it's less creepy, and he didn't touch the victims, just looked at them. That's my understanding, anyway.
Collins actually raped* victim after victim after victim, all of them children, under the age of 13. Who knows how badly he messed up the lives of those victims?
* Yes, rape. An 11 year old can't give consent for something like that, and it sounds like he groomed them. It's fucking disgusting.

I don't mean to make light of this, but my first thought when I heard this news was that I remember this cheesy MFTV movie. He played a dad who had an affair with his teenage babysitter (played by Keri Russell), and I couldn't help but think about art imitating life.
Of course, that's not to say that one lead to the other, but at the very least it seems a tad more than coincidental. And I only remember that movie because I saw the commercial and was thrilled to see Decker on screen again, as this movie was before 7th Heaven.
Edit: I just now realized that Cmdr. Decker seduced Cmdr. Donatra. Weird.

I think you're confusing Keri Russell(TV's "Felicity" which I never watched) with Dina Meyer ("Starship Troopers"...Batgirl...and "Star Trek: Nemesis").

Oh man, you're right. There's just something about women with high cheekbones.
Plus, I've tried to forget Nemesis anyway.
Hell yes Capricorn One!There are hundreds of actors who appeared on Star Trek. There are bound to be a few rotten apples among them.
I'll try to not let it spoil TMP. OJ didn't spoil Capricorn One for me, so I think I'll manage.
So there's ANOTHER reason not to watch it, anyway....Not sure TMP will be on my evening viewing list anytime soon after this.
Really? That's the main detraction for you regarding that movie? That's my opinion. I still like Ferris Bueler's Day Off, despite Jeffrey Jones' nasty photography (for that matter, I liked him particularly in Deadwood; was surprised to see him working again).
