1st trailer?

Khan 2.0

Commodore

attached to some of next years big Paramount releases - either Terminator (summer) or MI5 (xmas)..and maybe even Episode 7!

so MI5/SW7 might get the main 2.30m trailer but maybe T5 could get the initial 1.00m teaser as aren't they in the habit of releasing the teaser trailer a year in advance now? (pretty sure this was the case with STID and ST09)

I can't think about a trailer for a movie that doesn't even have a final script yet. I'm far more anxious about trailers for The Avengers 2, or Jurassic World. Stuff like that.

I'm excited for a trailer but don't expect one for another 12 months, at least. That's if it releases in May. If it releases in November or December, we might get the first trailer in a Super Bowl spot in February 2016.

Yeah, I don't think a year before. Probably Christmas, 2015. Abrams will be pushing Star Trek 3 a bit during his Episode VII publicity tour.

Trek XI had a trailer over a year before its release (though eleven months prior to the original release date) but STID didn't have any trailer at all until six months prior. Abrams really was secretive with that movie.

I believe that Orci is more open-minded than Abrams, in terms of releasing behind the scenes footage.

It is possible, this year, he gives information on TrekMovie or twitter, before launching a teaser.

I hope folks don't get too excited expecting information and trailers galore now that Orci is directing. Abrams is still a producer and the film is still being made by Bad Robot.

There's one problem. He deleted his Twitter account. And the only way you might get any news about the Star Trek 3 film project. Is through Bad Robot and Paramount Twitter account and news feed of their main website.

Generally, I agree but I'm pretty fond of this one:

Or another, and similarly themed, teaser

With both cases, It's a great way to get hype going without spoiling any of the film itself, and it does tie in to the narrative a bit.
