I prefer no explanation because it was a retcon/reboot that never needed explaining.
TOSers are truly a humorless bunch...

So people having preferences makes them 'humorless'?![]()
Maybe ENT should have a done a sequel, a gripping story finally explaining to us how the 24th Century Klingons acquired a hooked nose.
Where exactly is the humour in this? If it was meant to be funny then it's certainly not in the least apparent. It was a plot in Enterprise that explained it was a genetic virus.

It evidently takes extremely little to amuse you.Where exactly is the humour in this? If it was meant to be funny then it's certainly not in the least apparent. It was a plot in Enterprise that explained it was a genetic virus.
Not to you, obviously.

Its amazing how you stand to be among those you evidently consider unenlightened. It evidently takes extremely little to amuse you.Not to you, obviously.
It's easy, I don't treat any of this as Gospel and I have no problem when it pokes fun at itself.
Most TOSers though, go for the Gospel route.

I'm still waiting for whatever it was that was suppose to be funny..
Manny Coto taking what was a throwaway scene and making a arc story about it just to justify ridges vs non-ridges. Was amusing to me when I realized what the point of it was.I'm still waiting for whatever it was that was suppose to be funny..
That's the point of any Star Trek? To entertain. I found it an entertaining two-parter and, having missed the teaser on my initial viewing, I jumped up at the sight of TOS-style Klingons invading the Enterprise NX-01! What was the point of it? Please tell, as I didn't see one.
