The first one is my favorite, although the second one had its moments ("Hey look kids, there's the Dipplestrabe!", "Big Ben...Parliament....").

Christmas Vacation for me, followed by European Vacation. And I'm glad the made-for-TV Christmas Vacation sequel was not mentioned. That was horrid.

For some reason I really dislike European Vacation. The first one and Christmas Vacation are my favorites. Vegas Vacation was pretty forgetable but Audrey was hot.

Christmas Vacation is probably my favorite. The original and European are ok. Vegas Vacation was pretty forgettable.

    European Vacation.

It has always been my favorite.

But I've enjoyed them all to be honest.

    I rank them as follows:

    1) European

2-3) Christmas and Vacation are kinda tied. There's moments I love in both.

    4) Vegas

My favorite would be Christmas Vacation, which I synonymize with Christmas itself, followed by Vacation, European Vacation, and then Vegas Vacation.

Christmas Vacation 2 is considered a form of torture in most countries.

My favorite is the Christmas Vacation, followed by Vacation.

I saw it, but I barely remember it. I don't know if its just that boring and bland or I repressed it to protect myself. I do remember Audrey from Vacation showing up, the dog farting so bad that bomb detectors went off and there may have been a chimp. The Michael Bay Transformers films are works of art with subtle messages in comparison to Christmas Vacation 2. It's just a cheap and desperate attempt at a cash grab, but there's something so cynical about that it deeply offends you.

I may have watched a Christmas Story 2, but I don't want to even read a description of it out of fear of a flashback.

Yeah, it's basically set on an island in the carribean, I think, and it's pretty much their take on being stranded on what they think is a deserted island. Being stranded with Eddie is torture in itself.

Christmas Story is an interesting case, in that there have been multiple sequels, all vying to be called a direct sequel to the classic. The one I saw, I think last year, was actually not all that bad. I felt it had captured the tone of the original pretty well, and I remember being impressed with the actor who played the teenaged version of Ralph. It featured him working a job in order to make enough money to buy a desperately needed new car for his parents. I do remember being taken aback by the parents being played by different actors though, as they felt completely different.

I enjoy all four of them, but I've always liked 'European Vacation' the best, but I think the first film is a classic and can't really be touched as far as quality goes.

'Vegas Vacation' gets a bad rap (and for a good reason too, it feels like a last ditch effort to milk some more money out of the Vacation series), but there are some bits of it that I enjoy, and it's just fun seeing the family again, and Ethan Embry is fun as Rusty, and the girl who played Audrey was really hot.

    Original one, by far.
