I finished editing the rough cut of Act 1 this weekend. Just waiting on a few more FX shots from Roland Baron.
That's one of the best renderings of the Constitution-class I've ever seen. I still can't believe that the fans can make it looks so much better than CBS did with TOS-R.Shuttlecraft approaching the USS Yorktown. Seems friendly enough.
It is on its way. Just spent the morning looking at 3 new FX shots for our Klingon footage. I will post some pictures this week. We are also filming one small pick-up shot in January.

Is colonel Qumeq a real person or fully CGI?
That is an actor in costume and make-up. No CGI characters in Yorktown.
I would like to do a new trailer before we put the film online. A new trailer will probably happen within 2 months.
Bill, you wouldn't have a complete story if we did that. There were important scenes missing that were suppose to be filmed, like the Yorktown bridge scenes. The reason Yorktown was never released in the past was because it wasn't finished. The new scenes are what the Producer of Yorktown always intended to have in the finished film.

We have finished the starship FX shots for Act 1 and are now moving into Act 2 (Klingon starship FX shots). In total there are 3 acts in this film that require starship FX shots, so we are getting there day by day.

This will be a very special fan film, because it took you all a very long time to (almost) complete it.
Once released it will have new elements, like you have described, but it will also be a kind of nostalgia. People who where much younger than, than they are now. Very special indeed.

He hasn't spoken about it online, as far as I know, but he did talk to the guys at Starbase Studios about it when he was in Oklahoma, just 3 weeks after we had filmed there. So he is at least aware of the fact that its being finished.
