That's a really nice collection of clips, yet there are still others. I like Sisko to Kira in "Past Prologue": Brooks delivers this very well - Kira isn't getting the full broadside because she's new to working with Starfleet and the emphasis on chain of command, and they're going to have to work together in the future, yet he's also making it clear that going to the admiral when she doesn't like Sisko's decisions is unacceptable.
Yes, that was from "Tacking Into the Wind" near the end of season 7. It wasn't quite an order to Worf... such an order would probably have been illegal if Starfleet policy on assassination is anything like the present day United States. It was more like an observation - the Klingons are the only thing standing between the Dominion and victory, and Gowron must be stopped. It was up to Worf to interpret what should be done.
Jellico I'm sick of everything being so informal and casual round here. How hard is it to organise a four shift rotation fer crissakes?
Simultaneously train, prepare, and shake down a whole extra shift while preparing for a knock-down drag-out battle with the Cardassians? In only a few days? Pretty tough.
Ha! You think a loser like me would be on the Enterprise? I'm a blue-uniformed nonentity on the Oakland.
Mine was Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula). As the captain of the Enterprise NX-01 he was a pioneer in what future starfleet captains would look up to. He fumbled he made mistakes but after the Xindi mission, he learned that he can't just be an explorer, he has to be a dipolmat and more importantly a soldier.
