The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Guy Gardener

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Netflix dropped a season of this sitcom while I was sleeping.

Tina Fey produces and Ellie Kemper from the Office acts.

:)

Kimmy's been locked in a bunker with her Sisterwives for 15 years by a preacher who told them that the world blew up. Our story begins after she is extracted by SWAT and decides to try and make it in New York city as an adult beyond her stigma as a molewoman.

Kimmy then makes madcap friends and then has madcap adventures. :)

Anyone watching?

Just watching episode 7 now after just starting it this afternoon, I'm so addicted. LOVE Ellie Kemper as Kimmy.

yeah the theme song is completely stuck in my head. also, "Pinoooooooooot Noooooooooooir" cuz I just watched that one. 6 episodes in!

Started watching this today. 3 eps in and it's very funny. Definitely a "30 Rock" feel to the show.

I watched the first episode yesterday. It was weird. I'll definitely be watching more.

7.5 eps in! I'm gonna be crushed when I'm done with it. The only complaint I'll accept of this show is that Ellie Kemper is TOO cartoon-y some of the time with her facial expressions.

I totally forgot I stuck this on just as I was going to bed. I think I watched an episode, but what I remember was delightfully strange. Must watch more!

I'd forgotten about this Tina Fey series appearing on Netflix; it really snuck up on me.

I'm on ep 9 the birthday episode. Maybe it's because I'm watching it in 5 minute chunks but this one just doesn't seem to be funny or interesting. First one I wasn't raving about.

I watched all 13 episodes yesterday thanks to my first off day in forever. The show is pretty funny. I think with a little retooling it could be hilarious. There were definitely a lot of jokes that fell flat, but a lot of times I got some good laughs. Anything that had to do with a flashback to the bunker was really funny.

Surprising, Jon Hamm was the funniest thing about the entire first season. I'm sure a second season is already guaranteed, but I'd be interested in seeing Netflix release the numbers for how many people have watched the whole season soon.

NBC, solicited 2 seasons, or they had a deal with Tina Fey to make Two seasons, either as a Reward or an exchange for all that 30 rock money... NBC sold 2 seasons to Netflix.

Which means the actors have to make season two if Netflix wants to make season 2.

I would like to see the musical "Daddy's Boy" in its entirety, please  Be sure to listen to the song over the credits over that episode I was dying laughing.

Everyone who is loving the show will be iinterested to hear that Netflix already ordered a second season. I dont have a website to link to, but I read this in a Time magazine article about the show.

I was home sick yesterday, and binge-watched the first 8 episodes (don't we live in glorious times?).

A fun little show. I'm glad to see D'Fwan again. Jane K. is basically playing Jenna Maroney, but she really has that character nailed down, so...

I think if they gave it just a little more edge and a little less sweetness, it could be really good.

Then again, Ellie Kemper is so freaking adorable she could make me smile playing almost anyone.

:techman:

Watched 3 more episodes yesterday. The birthday episode was a lot closer to what I was hoping for. The step-dad doing heroin to prove he's not a cop (which he is) was pretty funny. I love that actor (he was great in O Brother Where Art Thou?).

Tituss going to straight acting school was pretty funny too.
