Did any of the Separatists who designed the DS survive the Wars and wonder how/why the Republic got the plans?

 

It's doubtful that anybody was left to know about it after Anakin killed off their leaders.

 

What about the actual scientists who designed it?

 

What's wrong with everyone in the galaxy knowing the Death Star was designed by the Separatist Geonosians? It'd make a great propaganda coup to announce the capture of the designs for such a powerful weapon, and poetic justice to build it in defense of the new Empire instead of as a weapon against the Empire.

 

Ah, so if independent contractors were on the Death star, would you be uneasy at its destruction?

For onme thing he was their leader and the had pledged their support for him and for another they were all killed so nobody was left alive to ask for them.
