    Hold on a second. I thought the prolonged volley of phaser fire was an April Fools' joke. If it wasn't, then I seriously meant no offense, but also have to object to the extended looping. The music is a dead giveaway and you won't be able to get away with more than a second or two extra with that trick.

    I hate April 1st.

    The phasers still look a little "flamey" to my eye, but it's pretty cool!

    One thing I have always pictured when Sulu describes that the phasers "just bounced off" is TMP photon-torpedo type rays spraying off the impact points, and the phaser energy just scattering in myriad directions.
