Have you noticed that since we started talking reasonably in those threads (I'm Ryan, BTW, in case the connection wasn't made), they've more or less retreated? Even though Leslie just took a pretty pathetic potshot at poor Wayne.
But I too have a real job and must head to bed.

I am beating so...though I love to see this FB where these people tend to Congregate, Para to me seems to find small tidbits of fact then blow them up into what he thinks fits his veiw of Trek...what will he do if Peggs Star Trek 3 is a hit? and CBS Picks up at TV Series set in the BR Verse? and Pegg gets another go at Star Trek IV or 14....
All good points....Also Myers who some of the Fans seem to be pining for was not into Trek and was not Associated before Star Trek II....
by the way I don’t get why people are judging what a Trek Project will be like based on Lin’s and Peggs past work….they both know this is Star Trek not the other things and Pegg is a fan from a young age…this largely seems to be Judging a Book or this case a Director and Writer by their Cover….

I got blocked from that page in about 48 hours. Apparently disagreeing with idiots translates into "attacking the admins".
Anywhooo. I wonder if the fact they are filming in Vancouver means more Starfleet HQ scenes. I was kind of hoping for an Earth-free adventure.
I'm wondering if either Para, Leslie or one of the other merry band of misfits there isn't looking in on this thread. They've mentioned TrekBBS before over there.
A part of me wants to see what would happen if they tried to bring this here. The number of people asking for sources and calling them out on the BS would probably make their heads explode.
Personally, I'd be happy to never see another post from Harvey Kitzman. He adds nothing but vitriol to the conversation.

The biggest WTF I saw was someone slamming Pegg for his Scottish accent. Clearly, they've never actually heard a real Scottish accent in their life.

The thing that makes me laugh is that they keep attacking Dennis suggesting that his enjoyment of JJ Trek must mean he loves Star Wars and hate anything from Gene.
I keep wanting to chime in about how he probably has more of a connection to "real Trek" than any of them ever will but I figure its better to leave that to Dennis.

Nothing is better than Picard/Riker slash. Except possibly Data/Worf.
I've heard people slam James Doohan for the accent he used (Craig Ferguson - yes, that one - called it "a Pakistani with a stroke"), but never Pegg. That IS a WTF.
