I’m not ashamed to admit that Penny, Abbey and Strawberry were solid contenders for name if I had a daughter. Oddly enough, Eleanor. was not.
There's not a snowball's chance in hell of me ever having a kid (I never wanted kids, and still don't) but....if I did have a daughter, I think 'Phaedra' would be a cool name. Tangerine Dream fans will know whereof I speak.
I'm confused... When Peter Gabriel is Sledgehammering is he saying he'll "show for me" & "show for you", or "chauffeur me" & "chauffeur you"? Not sure which I'd prefer, actually. Either seems like an interesting prospect.
The song Magic Bus For years, and years I heard that line in the song as "Zoomba the magic bus" I think the correct words are "Too much magic bus"
Doobie Brothers- What a Fool Believes: But what a fool believes he sees No wise man has the power to reason away ... what my 8-year old brain and ears heard: But what a fool believes he sees The white man has the power to reason away ...
From Star Blazers cartoon I thought it was Our or All stars blazers and they don't say that. Also in the second Guardians of Galaxy movie where the guy on the ship was singing Shoop, I thought we was singing soup, soup, soup. And it didn't help he was eating a bowl of soup at the time.
Papa Don't Preach I drink Ovaltine. I know that isn't the line as I doubt Madonna would be singing about a hot, malted drink but it sounds like it.
Yeah OK I am not the only one that heard that as Ovaltine as a youngster. The Caravan Palace song Suzy still gets me sometimes. The line in the song sounds like "Suzy is dancing the death star and sings"
OK not misheard but Lionel Richie's song Hello listening to that back to back with Amy Grant's song El Shaddai, and they sound terribly similar and now I can't not hear it. Both of these songs came out a year apart.
Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leppard The actual lyrics Livin' like a lover with a radar phone (just what the heck that is, I have no clue ) What I thought they were since I was younger lol Spoiler Looking like a lover with a red eye thong
When The Going Gets Tough by Billy Ocean For years, and years I heard the line in the song as "go and get stuffed"
From The End of The Innocence by Don Henley. What I heard: The tired old man with the electric cane. ( Misheard it as that for years, since I was a kid. And even imagined an old man angrily swinging around an electric cane. ) The actual lyric: The tired old man who we elected king.
Some time ago, we used to listen to an "oldies" station all the time in the car. They played an old Dick Haymes song with a peculiar and unintelligible phrase repeated. "What's he singing about?" "Must be a country thing: "The Old Mashed P'tater" maybe? "Sounds a bit worse than that to me!" It turned out to be something about "The Old Master Painter"! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Old_Master_Painter
Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys recorded a version of this song as part of a medley with 'You Are My Sunshine' during the making of SMiLE. Sadly, Brian only got around to adding Dennis vocals to 'You Are. . .' portion before the album was abandoned. So, the song remains incomplete; although there are bootlegs floating around with Brian teaching the song to the musicians and singing a portion of the song off mike.
For the longest time I misheard the lyrics to the song "Hopelessly Devoted to You" from Grease. What I thought I heard: But now there's no where to hide Since you pushed my love aside I nodded my head Hopelessly devoted to you (3x) What the lyrics are: But now there's no where to hide Since you pushed my love aside I'm out of my head Hopelessly devoted to you (3x)
There's an outtake on the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers box set called 'Ways to be Wicked'. Initially I heard the line as, 'I watch your little eyes light up as you're walking with no help'. Had the headphones on last night and I heard, 'I watch your beady eyes light up as you're walking me through Hell'.
