What lawsuit's that? I hadn't heard about that one before. Some kind of price-fixing scandal or something?
New Trek stuff by Ian McLean, on Flickr The latest "Star Trek" haul: a $7 (remaindered) boxed card game I don't recall seeing around before; plus Dayton Ward's travel guide for Vulcan; the 2017(!) "Ships of the Line" calendar; and two new IDW comic omnibuses. Oh, and Amazon just sent me my six-CD audio set of "Leonard: My Fifty-Year Friendship with a Remarkable Man", by William Shatner with David Fisher, read by William Shatner, Macmillan Audio/St Martin's Press (450 min, unabridged). Out and about with Dayton Ward's "Vulcan" travel guide! I just got the 2016 Enterprise coin from the Royal Canadian Mint, featuring the Enterprise orbiting Mudd's planet from the ending of the Remastered episode of I, Mudd. I also got the 2016 coin/stamp collection featuring stamps from Canada Post and a coin from the RCM that has the Enterprise in 6-different angles.
Nice! The calendars don't usually start showing up here until September or October. Just out of curiosity, what's that book with the gold cover and the giant Starfleet delta, that's in behind the Ghostbusters Sticker Fact File? That's a lovely coin. I really wanted that, but there's no possible way I could justify it at the price they're charging.
Titan's trade omnibus of "Star Trek Magazine" article reprints. "The Movies 1" features the two Bad Robot films, plus TMP, ST II and Dr Gillian Taylor. Photo in the below link: Latest acquisition!
Have you seen the $20 for $20 coin (or the TV Ad that you can see here: http://www.mint.ca/store/product/rc...|Upsell|152202|153273|153493|20for20|StarTrek). That's one coin that people can afford, as its only $20, with no tax.
Thanks for the link! No, I don't think I had seen that one before. The other one that I had seen was the one you mentioned that showed the Enterprise at six angles, but I didn't like that one as much. The $20 one is nice, though!
I found a Star Trek 50th anniversary m,agazine published by Time magazine I got at the grocery store. It looks really interesting.
I just got the e-book of David Mack's original novel The Calling. This will be my first non-tie in work by David Mack, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm very curious to see what his writing is like when he has complete freedom.
IDW's latest "New Visions" photo comic by John Byrne is an anniversary adaptation of "The Cage". Also depicted in this pic are my new ThinkGeek light 'n' sound transporter coasters, and a hardcover book, "Spock's Logic Puzzles" by Tim Dedopulos (Carlton Books). I took advantage of IDW's Star Trek comics sale and got: TNG/Dr. Who: Assimilation2 Vol1 Burden of Knowledge (TOS) Mission's End (TOS) DS9: Fool's Gold Assignment: Earth TOS/Planet of the Apes: The Primate Directive Captain's Log
Hey David Mack, look what Muppet Therin of Andor found at Galaxy Bookshop, Sydney, Australia, last night! "Star Trek: Legacies, Book 2: Best Defense". Star Trek Legacies Book 2, Best Defense by Ian McLean, on Flickr
IDW's "Star Trek Ongoing" comic finishes its 60-issue run with a TOS/Kelvin timeline crossover two-parter. Joined by my new Krall and Jaylah "Pop!" figures from "Star Trek Beyond". IDW restarts numbering at #1 for its post-"Beyond" series. Trek comic and Pops by Ian McLean, on Flickr (I am proud I could draw the line at buying aliens only. Sadly, there is a "Chekov in Survival Gear", which is way too ironic.)
