    ^^^I agree that setting up the eyelid thing in the Teaser would have worked.

    I disagree with using "epi'" to mean "episode". :D

    Hmmm...how would that have worked in a believable fashion? That is, what would be the nature of the "eyelid thing" in the teaser that would be natural and wouldn't have just ended up as a contrived set-up for the resolution of the story in the tag? The Twilight Zone did this latter thing in its later seasons and it drove me up the wall.

    I await your script pages. ;)

    Actually, the correct title in "Is There in Truth No Beauty?" and the episode doesn't mention the Vulcan eyelid thing at. The implication is that Spock can look at Kollos via a visor because his mind is more logical and less likely to crack at the (filtered) sight of a Medusan.

    Ah, OK, thanks, must've been blending the two episodes together (I thought there was a "recovering period" in this episode relating to his inner eyelid). Been too many years since I've seen most of TOS, I'll probably do a full rewatch when I finish up Enterprise, which I'm about 2/3 of the way through S1 now.
