The Kobayashi Maru is a test for a no win senario, that doesnt mean it has to involve a neutral zone in the senario.

That being said in Kirks days at the academy could have been similar to STII just the Romulan instead of the Klingon neutral zone

Even in ST2 the aliens were supposed to be Romulans, until they decided to save money and recycle the Klingon VFX from the first movie. And they didn't bother to change the "Neutral Zone" & "they don't take prisoners" parts of the script.

Since that fateful Enterprise episode I have held to the theory that not all of the Empire was infected with the disease. Even if they were, at the end of the episode that Klingon Scientist/Doc said that he bets that plastic surgery will become really popular in the Empire. Therefore if we see a bumpy headed Klingon in the movie we could either assume that:

    1) The disease isn't 100% widespread in the Empire and he/she isn't infected with it.
    2) The disease is widespread, but he/she has had plastic surgery.

Since the corridor shot has now established beyond doubt that this is a reimagining rather than an actual in-canon prequel, I think the door is open for a full redesign of the Klingons, personally. Give them a more fearful look, perhaps -- maybe something involving CGI.

    Cheers

No, it tells us nothing of the sort. But if that's what you want to think okay. Remember if that's true Shatner's Kirk being dead wouldn't even be considered an obstacle nor do I think having Nimoy as "Old Spock" would serve the story well... it'd be like having Lorne Green cgi'd into the new BSG as "Adama".

Well, Lenard Nimoy is in the movie playing Spock. That means its a Reboot.

Just like when Richard Hatch when was in nuBSG.

    Oh wait...

Richard Hatch didn't play old Apollo.

    Ooops.

Will Spock be an emotionally red skinned Martian? Will James Kirk's middle initial be an R?

There will be no Klingons in the movie. There will be Romulans in the movie. They will have bumpy heads.
