Sounds like either a Restraining Order or a Redneck Wedding in the making... please have your attorney post, should you become absent for 3 to 6 months for any reason. :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:
I suggested that months ago. I still think we should find someone who knows someone to make this happen! It would be the ultimate salute to dedicated fans without affecting J.J.'s movie. :bolian:

This thread is getting so massive; we may have to appoint a Blue Warp Nacelles Historian to keep track of its rich history.

Does Richard Arnold have some free time?

El Compendio de Barquillas Azules, if Bablefish is to be trusted.

I like ITL's version better than real Spanish. The real Spanish version is mierda.

Where's Hoshi Sato when we need her?

Speaking of which, have we seen Hoshi in a sombrero yet?

For Dennis, we should probably have naked Hoshi in a sombrero.

One of the real tests is to re-translate it back into English and see what you get.

"El Compendio de Barquillas Azules" translates back into "The Blue Log Compendium", which is pretty damn close, but it sounds more like a book about what we would find in Mr. Mot's toilet.

Even more fun if you translate it through several other languages first:
MultiBabel -- for when you really do have too much time on your hands. :D

    ^^It loses something in translations.

I made a "how the sombreroprise came about" post awhile back... it may actually be a part of the history of this thread by now!

    ^ Wellll...

But oh, what a ride. :D

It's actually fun to see how well some things go through the process. The "Space: the final frontier... " monologue tends to hold up quite well; other things (like Rick's "hill of beans" speech from the end of Casablanca, for example) are rendered almost unrecognizable.

    Nice!

Yeah, that was a damned good post, by the way. What number was that post?

I nominate 26138 as Blue Warp Nacelles Thread Historian.

And M'Sharak would be my second choice for Historian, given that he seems to be able to track down any reference or post anywhere, no matter how obscure.
