Who's Your Favorite...?

Borg Queen is my favorite character in star trek. She's the greatest female villain in the empire of science fiction. She is the head behind the Borg Collective and she’s the most famous character as well.

I like Spock and of course Sulu from the Original Series the most. But I can appreciate TNG chartacters as well.

I think Borg Queen is the most popular character in star trek and she is my favorite. She guides legions of drones on their mission of integration and enormous conquest.

I think the Borg Queen is far from the most popular character in Star Trek. In fact I'm sure many fans like myself would have preferred it if she'd never been invented.

Anyhoo, I recently made a top 15 list

1. Seven of Nine
2. Garak
3. Odo
4. Jadzia
5. T'Pol
6. The Doctor
7. Data
8. Kes
9. Kira
10. Kirk
11. Picard
12. B'Ellana
13. Quark
14. O'Brien
15. Dr Crusher

Bottom 5 (regulars only)

Welcome aboard.

Generally it is frowned upon to resurrect threads that haven't had replies in over 6 months.

This is a pretty innocuous one, so I'll let it slide. In the future, if you see something that you'd like to discuss, feel free to start a new thread.

Thanks.

:techman:

Oh, and Janeway is the answer.

Hmmm, so different from other forums. Somewhere else, we are encouraged, even required, to look for an existing thread instead of creating a new one. But okay, I'll start a new one next time.

It's not a hard and fast rule, and yes if there is an active thread on the subject you are interested in, you should post there.

But if a thread has died a natural death (I'd say idle for six months), leave it be and start a new one. Since most topics have already been discussed sometime during the long life of this board, we would end up endlessly resurrecting old threads, responding to people who no longer post here, and so forth.

It's really only a major problem if it is done repeatedly or to troll. Only then would you get an infraction.

Not a big deal.

There isn't a Trek character I dislike. Neelix, Wesley, Kes, Nog, Mayweather...I love them all.

I thus, have no favourite. There are far too many characters on Trek that are just excellently written and portrayed...

TOS: Kirk & Spock

TNG: Picard, Data, Worf

DS9: Garak, Sisko, Quark, Kira, Jadzia, Worf, Dukat, O'Brien...

VOY: Janeway, Seven, B'Elanna, Doctor

ENT: T'pol, Trip, Archer

Star Trek has a wealth of fantastic characters. I have to hit 'post' because im feeling guilty at those I have left out...

Hmm. Can't bring it down to less than 2 per series:

TOS: Sulu & Spock.
Sulu's always struck me as the smarter member of the cast, the only one who seems to think faster than the plot (at times), and Spock, well, it's Spock.

TNG: Picard & Worf.
Picard's unfailling humanistic ethics and love of Shakespeare, Worf's strict adherence to his ways.

DS9: Quark & Garak.
As a whole, DS9 was a series that had better supporting chars than the main crew. Quark IS DS9, in many ways and Garak's appearances are always welcome, though by necessity he couldn't've been a permanent fixture.

VOY: Tuvok & The Doctor.
Easy choice, the others are either bland (Kim), mildly annoying (Paris, Kes, B'elanna, Chakotay, 7o9), unbearably annoying (Neelix) or insane (Janeway).
I liked Tuvok's brand of vulcan: he was all about logic, like all vulcans, but still differed from previous portrayals (notably Spock) nonetheless... I dare say he was better written than Spock.
The Doctor, of course, steals the show.

ENT: Phlox & Shran. Once again, easy choice, most of the ENT crew is quite bland (I was halfway through S1 before I could distinguish Trip from Malcolm!); only those two have genuine colour.
