Which Treck actor do you think had the best career after Treck?

Patrick Stewart, but he already had quite a good career before Trek.

Shatner didn't do badly, but I can't say that I'm familiar with many shows he did between Trek and Boston Legal. So basically it's just Boston Legal that made the difference.

Alexander Siddig has been doing quite well, he's had good roles in films and guest starring in TV shows.

Patrick Stewart and William Shatner! Of course they had the advantage of playing the captains, which made them the most recognizable cast members of their shows.

Some other Trek actors who had roles in other TV shows or movies are:

- Robert Picardo - "SG Atlantis" Season 5

- Connor Trinneer "SG Stlantis" Recurring

- Rene Auberjonois - "Boston Legal" (the entire series)

- Jolene Blalock - "Starship Troopers 3"

- John Billingsley - "2012"

- and of course Walter Koenig ;) "Babylon 5" Recurring (13 episodes)

I'm not sure you should be starting threads quite yet, if you cannot spell TREK it is in the board name.

Leonard Nimoy has had the best CAREER after Star Trek. He has done: series television (Mission Impossible, In Search Of... starring roles); movies (Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Never Forget); directing movies and television (including Star Trek); stage and theater; and is a well-known photographer. That is a well-rounded career.

 You've never heard of T.J. Hooker?!? That show ran forever...!

Definitely agree - it's got to be Nimoy.

Don't forget the poetry and singing! :guffaw:

I'd have to say Shatner because of all the shows he went on to do.
Treck?:klingon::scream::mad::censored::mad:

I agree that Leonard Nimoy has done well after TOS and outside of the movie. But I think it depends on what the actor(s) wanted and what's best for them. Not all of them wanted to be big time directors and have spots on blockbuster films...

I was trying... until you made me remember!:rommie: Now I have that Bilbo Baggins thing stuck in my head!:alienblush:

Scott Bakula is doing all right (of course he waas doing just fine before ENT) and Roxann Dawes is doing a lot of directing/producing - TNT's The CLoser right now.

Colm Meaney's done lots of stuff.
I knew I forgot someone!

No. I am completely unfamiliar with it.
But, I am not American...

I did, however, see pre-Boston Legal Shatner in an episode of Ray Bradbury Theatre and as Big Giant Head in 3rd Rock from the Sun. :)

I've also seen very young, pre-Trek Shatner as Alyosha in the rather bad 1950s adaptation of Brothers Karamazov. Was it around that time that he was on Twilight Zone?

Nobody has had a career after Star Trek. Even the stuff Shatner has done has been done within a "Captain Kirk" persona.

I never had heard of it until I signed on here and I'm most certainly an American. I even know people who never heard of certain A-list like Harrison Ford despite having seen Star Wars and the Indiana Jones movies.

And T.J. Hooker wasn't on that long.
