I'm not sure if we did this last year, but we've done is several times over the years. I think it's fun to imagine if you were the editor of the Pocket Books Star Trek line, what books would you want to publish next year? I'm imagining at this point that we're going to see a few months gap at the beginning of 2018 because of issues with negotiation the fiction license this time around, but which will end up being a huge blessing for years to come. But I'm ignoring that for my dream schedule and covering all 12 months. I'm including some things which I'm not a huge fan of, but which are basically obligatory, and some things which are just dreams of mine. Setting aside weather this is financially wise or not, I would publish a MMPB and an ebook each month. In addition, I would put out two of those larger sized paperbacks for Discovery, and they wouldn't count toward the monthly quota. So in no particular order... Paperbacks- TNG/DS9- Destruction of Romulus/ Death of Spock Trilogy- Book 1 TNG/DS9- Destruction of Romulus/ Death of Spock Trilogy- Book 2 TNG/DS9- Destruction of Romulus/ Death of Spock Trilogy- Book 3 Rise of the Federation- Book 6 The Obligatory TOS 5YM Novel DS9/ Aventine Team Up TOS- Second Five Year Mission Novel- CLB Kelvin Timeline TOS- Book 1 Kelvin Timeline TOS- Book 2 Seekers 5 Voyager: To Lose the Earth Klingon Empire- Book 2- KRAD Ebooks- DTI- Movie Era Followup to Forgotten History Ferengi Tale About Rom USS Kelvin- Book 1 USS Kelvin- Book 2 New Frontier- The END Titan DS9 Enterprise- Suliban Tale TNG- Data Tale TOS- Enterprise-A Series- Book 1 TOS- Enterprise-A Series- Book 2 Pike- Followup to Early Voyagers Comic Trade Paperback Discovery #3 Discovery #4 And I'm not sure how to package this, either with something else or by itself, but I'd love to see a updated version of the Pocket Books Timeline, like was in the back of Voyages of the Imagination. I think it's been 11 years! So what does your dream Trek Lit schedule for 2018 look like? And remember keep it vague, no story ideas. Just the series and settings basically.
Novel-verse crossover centering on the destruction of Romulus and its aftermath Novel about the death of Spock and its affects on Vulcan, Picard, Scotty and others Followup novel to Hearts and Minds, as well as new DS9, Titan, Voyager, Enterprise and TOS novels At least two new Discovery novels Revival of the Strange New Worlds anthology Novels set in the Kelvin-verse, one with Kirk's crew on the Enterprise, one set on the Kelvin itself Peter David returns to the New Frontier series Novels set in the 20th/21st centuries describing events that inform Trek canon -- anything from World War III to the Bell Riots to Khan to Gary Seven

We'd pretty much need to have at least one novel from each of the ongoing series. I'd also bring back the anthologies, and do an Enterprise one and a new Captain's Table anthology with all of the major captains that have been introduced or promoted since the first one. I really liked the anthologies they use to do, and the fact that they stopped has been one of my biggest disappointments over the last few years. E-books: TNG TV era novella DS9 TV era novella VOY TV era novella ENT TV era novella DTI The e-books would be a perfect way to give us shorter series era stories, and by doing this the people who don't get e-books wouldn't miss out on parts of the Relaunchs' ongoing stories.
