I liked Public Enemies, and I really liked Crisis on Two Earths...but even when JL and JLU were on there were some who didn't like them either...me? I think from Justice League onward, they have done a great job with it. New Frontier, while I liked it, so butchered the book that, after seeing it one time, I wouldn't care if I ever saw it again. I have seen CRISIS twice now, and have liked it both times..that is a good sign.. But some of you just can't be pleased, or want something else. If DC came to you for an idea for a DIRECT TO DVD animated movie, that was not tied in with any past attempts, a stand alone story, what would you do? Because, working with that restriction, as the past two JL DVDs have, I think they have done a great job considering the length of time a DVD animated movie can be... So..come on you nitpickers, this is your chance to tell us what you would do. Me? I'm not sure, because as I said, I've liked their results, and crisis did a great job. Rob
Our Worlds At War... Infinite Crisis... Crisis on Infinite Earths... basically all the big crossovers would be nice. Could do Morrison' World War Three story that closed out his JLA run.
I would do a story, which they did way back in the late 70s I think, where Batman doesn't like how the JLA is always off in space dealing with some threat, and he decides to leave. Rob
Aren't the stories where Batman gets left out because he doesn't have powers usually also the ones where he saves the League's ass at the end ?
Its been awhile, what was the name of the Morrison storyline where Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) travels into the future? He sees a world in which Darkseid has taken over the Earth. He is finally defeated by Green Arrow and the Atom! I loved the scope of all the issues around that time. EDIT - I looked it up "Rock of Ages"
Also, Green Lanter Corps, e.g., The Sinestro Corps War, Black Lanterns (In Blackest Night), Rainbow Lanterns.
An adaptation of the Silver Age Origin might be cool. Who doesnt love weird aliens? Or maybe the first Starro story.
not a bad idea...the new JL movie, and New Frontier have both teased us with 'imaged' of that first starro story...so why not actually do it..I like it..good idea.. rob
Heck, i would love to see an animated version of the first SUPERMAN/SPIDERMAN crossover..could you imagine the DVD cover? Rob
