Your favourite moments (SPOILERS!)

So what were some of your favourite moments? The movie had many really fun moments so I'll just list some random ones.
There are way more so tell me what you loved.


1) Rey and Finn running away trying to find a ship and dismissing one ship as "garbage". And you're like: "Wait... that sounds... familiar." And then we see the Falcon. Great reveal. (Also: He needs to stop holding her hand! )

2) The blood smears on Finn's helmet that singled him out for the audience. Smart move. All of a sudden the Stormtroopers seemed so... human.

3) Rey spontaneously hugging Finn when she realized they came to rescue her. It just felt right and real. And then... "Escape first, hug later."

4) Rey and BB-8 both pointing at the tape she needs to repair the Falcon while Finn is so confused.

5) Rey's vision. So intense! Loved it!

6) The banter between Finn and Poe. BFF? "I'm talking to myself."

7) Luke Skywalker

1) Finn's and Poe's escape.. instant buddy chemistry and an awesome jailbreak (Stardestroyerbreak?) scene

2) Han trying to con 2 crime syndicates and failing so the blasters had to speak

3) The Falcon reveal (and subsequent less than elegant flying by Rey.. i really cringed when she scraped the ground)

4) Finn trying to rescue Rey from those goons only to see her whooping their ass with her staff.. his reaction is priceless (and not every Damsel in Distress needs a White Knight!)

5) Kylo Ren stopping that laserblast mid air.. utter badass skill (sadly his badass impression didn't last long)

6) Poe leading the X-Wing assault on the First Order, everybody skimming the surface of the lake with their fighters and creating a huge wall of mist (damn, i got goosebumps when i first saw that in the trailer and i got them when i saw it in the theater)

7) BB-8.. so damn cute and funny, a worthy successor to R2-D2

8) Han and Rey trying to get the Falcon going and her ripping out that piece of junk that's been holding them back.. her huge ass grin was so infectuous and i crushed so hard in that moment

I agree. I'm actually surprised they bothered creating a new droid for a part that R2 could have easily filled, with slight modifications to allow him to move a bit faster. I was also afraid he'd turn out to be the droid equivalent of a Minion, as in extremely over the top. Thankfully he was not.

The flashbacks when Rey touches the Luke's lightsaber (that sounds so wrong).

Finn's escape from the New Order.

Lots of great ones, but my favorite by far is the lightsaber flying into Rey's hand. I assumed of course that at some point she would pick it up to continue the battle against Kylo, but the way it actually happened was SO much better and cooler than I ever imagined.

I admit, I'm a sucker for all of the BB8 moments...

I also liked Rey fighting off Kylo Ren's mind power tricks. And the flashback sequence.

And of course the death scene...it was a strange feeling of knowing very likely what was about to happen but still hoping that it might somehow go differently...

When Rey thew the Falcon in that upside down dive and cutting the engines. Actually, the entire chase was amazing.

And everything mentioned sofar.

When Rey yanked Luke's lightsaber from all the way across the snowy field using her newfound abilities with "The Force." The music really added something special to that moment.

2. Ren on Finn and Rey lightsaber fight.

3. Rey using the Jedi Mind Trick.

4. "We're going to make our landing approach at light-speed?!"

5. Chewie impressing his medic with his manliness.

Han's crazy this time with Hyperspace from inside a ship to coming out of Hyperspace inside an atmosphere. I know Anakin did something like that to come out really close to an enemy ships, but not right into a planet.

Lots of great moments, many of which have been said, so I'll go with a small hillarious moment:
The scene where Kylo Ren is smashing up the chair after Rey escapes and you see two Stormtroopers walking on patrol stop, turn around, and start walking in the opposite direction.

This. Adorable.

I suspect Rey pulling Luke's lightsaber and owning Kylo Ren would have been another one of mine except that I was feeling completely disengaged from the movie at that point so I just didn't care. Fantastic scene/idea on paper, though. (When I read about it via leaks before seeing the movie I really liked it.)
