Your favorite Trek quotes?

ReadyAndWilling

Fleet Captain
Jem'Hadar: "Obedience brings victory. Victory is life!"

not sure why i love this quote so much, but i think it's partly because it's so simple and yet so direct.

Romulan senator: "We'll forgo shore leave until the Klingons depart. Our soldiers are professionals. They're here to fight, not get drunk at quark's."

was just watching Inter_arma_Enim_Silent_Leges and really liked this one.

Oh, so many...

"Yeah Damar, what kind of people give those orders?"

"His was the most... human."

"The moral thing to do was not the right thing to do."

"We all create God in our own image."

"Not good enough, damn it, not good enough!!"

"If you have something to say then SAY it!!!"

"And NOTHING is more important than my ship."

"Is that REALLY what you want?"

I can just keep going here...

"I'm no angel. But I try to live every day as the best human being I know how to be." - Miles O'Brien, 'Tribunal'

"...sometimes, number one, you just have to embrace the absurd." - Picard, that episode with the space gypsies.

"Give me your hand ... your hand! Now feel that: Human flesh against human flesh. We're the same. We share the same history, the same heritage, the same lives. We're tied together beyond any untying. Man or woman, it makes no difference, we're human. We couldn't escape from each other even if we wanted to. That's how you do it, Lieutenant. By remembering who and what you are: a bit of flesh and blood afloat in a universe without end. And the only thing that's truly yours is the rest of humanity. That's where our duty lies. Do you understand me?" - Captain Kirk, "Who Mourns for Adonis?".

"You know, there are some words I've known since I was a schoolboy. 'With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably.' Those words were uttered by Judge Aaron Satie as wisdom and warning. The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged."
- Picard, "The Drumhead"

'I never took the Kobayashi maru test until now. What do you think of my solution?'

and

'Im not Picard'.

These two spring to mind, but Im sure there are better ones.

Q: "Eaten any good books lately?"

The Borg : "We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile. We are the Borg."

Worf: "I am NOT a merry man!"

Quark: "I have a dream; a dream that all people, human, Jem'Hadar, Ferengi, Cardassians, will someday stand together in peace... around my Dabo tables"

Garak: "The truth is usually just an excuse for a lack of imagination"

Tuvok: "It appears that in my haste to report to the Bridge I neglected to put on my uniform."

Janeway "Must be something you assimilated."

And so many more.

Spock: If there are self-made purgatories then we all have to live in them. Mine can be no worse than someone else's.

Mine is a pair of quotes -

Soran: Can't you feel time gaining on you? It's like a predator...it's stalking you. Oh, you can try and outrun it with doctors, medicines, new technologies...but in the end, time is going to hunt you down and make the kill.

Picard: Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives, but I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey...reminds us to cherish every moment...because they'll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived.

I have a lot of favorite quotes, but right now I'll go with the following confession from Captain Kirk in The Wrath of Kahn:

“I haven't faced death. I've cheated death. I tricked my way out of death ...and patted myself on the back for my ingenuity. ...I know nothing.”

And I also have to mention Captain Picard's "no further" speech from First Contact:

“I will not sacrifice the Enterprise. We've made too many compromises already. Too many retreats. They invade our space and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again! The line must be drawn here, this far, no further! And I will make them pay for what they've done.”

MU Soval: "Don't forget the females!"

In a Mirror Darkly, ENT

--

Rider: "I can't believe you'd kill me for a field of empty holes!"

J'onn: "It's all I have."

ST:V The Final Frontier

--

And my sig line which is one of my favorite Trek quotes ever.

I just remembered that Scotty also has some great lines:

“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” from Friday's Child.

“Well, Captain, the Klingons called you, uh a tin-plated, overbearing, swaggering dictator with delusions of godhood.” from The Trouble With Tribbles.

“I'll sit on the warp engines myself and nurse them.” from That Which Survives.

“I find nothing interesting in the fact that we're about to blow up.” also from That Which Survives.

“Unless you people on the Bridge start taking showers with your clothes on, my engines can pull us out of anything.” from The Naked Time.

"The best diplomat I know is a fully activated phaser bank.” from A Taste of Armageddon.

There's been a LOT of awesome Trek quotes, but this is my favorite:

"In this galaxy there’s a mathematical probability of three million Earth-type planets. And in the universe, three million million galaxies like this. And in all that, and perhaps more...only one of each of us."
-Dr. McCoy, “Balance of Terror”

"the word is no. I am therefore going anyway" from Kirk in TSFS sums up the awesomeness of his character very well.

Sonak, I love that line and I love how Kirk says it.

This is from the DS9 season 5 episode For The Uniform. These are my 2 favorite lines from it.
O'Brien: Let me give you all the bad news at once, sir. We have no cloak, no transporters, no replicators and the stabilizing gyros are at only 50 percent. So don't ask for any sharp turns unless you want to end up doing barrel rolls.
Dax(to Sisko): That could be fun.

Picard's "The First Duty" speech. He seriously lays the smackdown on Wesley in a genuine Picard moment:

"The first duty of every Starfleet officer is to the truth, whether it's scientific truth or historical truth of personal truth! It is the guiding principal on which Starfleet is based, and if you can't find it within yourself just to stand up and tell the truth about what happened, you don't deserve to wear that uniform."

This.

It's oddly more relevant now than when the show was even on.
