Your favorite second Trek

I am assuming anybody who reads this will agree with me that Star Trek is the best Trek series. If you don't accept that premise, please move along. This thread is not for you.

My question is: What is your next favorite Trek series? I have listed them in an attached poll. In addition to the series, I have added the movies, breaking them up into TOS and TNG movies. In memory of one of my favorite missing posters, OrionRandy (I see his website and publishing firm are going strong so I hope he is well), I have made The Motion Picture its own separate selection.

OK, Wilson. Pick it. If you can't watch Star Trek, what would you like to watch next?

I said TNG but lately, watching the episodes on HDNet, I might have said Enterprise. I hope that doesn't get me booted out of this forum.

It was really hard for me to make a choice.
Would have voted for all the movies if possible.

In the end, I chose ST:7 to ST:10.

After TOS I'd go with TMP and then TAS. After that I'd opt for early TNG (first 3 seasons).

I can live without the rest of it.

^ You know, I felt guilty dedicating the ST:TMP option to OrionRandy. I should have named it after you. Ray knows it, but the rest of you geeks should also know if it wasn't for Warped9, I wouldn't be here.

Why would you assume people only visit a forum for their first-favorite show? I bop between here and DS9, sometimes ENT, I've even been sighted in the TNG and VOY forums from time to time...

But I voted DS9 just to keep in the spirit of the poll.

Enterprise - and as someone who has loved/watched/enjoyed TOS from day one, I still don't see all the hate this series recieves.

It's a tough call for me. I consider myself first and foremost an original series Trekkie, seeing only one show allowed to be called Star Trek. However, I thoroughly delved into TNG after the second season, and stayed with it through the end. DS9... I started out with it but got bored mid S3, right about the time Babylon 5 hit its stride . But after going back and rewatching it, including episodes I'd missed, I completely rethought my appreciation for DS9. It comes VERY close to the enthusiasm I felt for TNG, pretty much neck-and-neck.

However, it's really films 2-6 that are my favorite. I'd include TMP in that mix, but 1-6 wasn't one of the poll options. At any rate, films 2-6 firmly brought forth all of the aspects that I enjoyed in Star Trek. The synergetic camaraderie between the entire crew, the never-since reproduced connection of Kirk, Spock and McCoy, fascinating villains, personal sacrifice on the highest level... it was all there.
