Your favorite scene in Terminator 2?

ReadyAndWilling

Fleet Captain
well this is definitely my favorite movie.

there are just so many great elements that make it a great movie. awe inspiring action, special effects that still hold up to today's standards, the characters and of course, a brilliant story.

anyway, instead of talking about the entire movie i thought i'd talk about my favorite scene.

i think one of my favorites is towards the end when the T1000 stabs the T800 with a metal rod. it skewers him and aims for his battery core. it looks like he's dead, but then his body finds a way around the problem and re-directs power as it says in the caption. really small scene i know; it was just extremely well done.

My favorite scene?

When the T-1000 goes to John Connor's house to interview his foster parents, because the way he interacts with them is a perfect illustration of why his model is an improvement over the T-800. It isn't just the liquid metal body. It's a better infiltrator. It was polite. It was calm. It tried to put the parents at ease. It even paid John a compliment. ("He's a good lookin' boy," he said when he looked at the picture.) It was perfect. I bet they trusted him right up to the moment he came back to kill Jeanette Goldstein and impersonate her.

That was a great job by Robert Patrick, and one of the many reasons this is my favorite movie of the series.

So true.

Also the beginning of the movie is perfect. The music, the image of traffic during a hot summer day and then the quick transition into the bleak future. One of the best opening scenes ever.

True. Kristanna Loken as the T-X sure had a tough act to follow, and she did not measure up to Patrick's performance even though her model was supposed to be more advanced.

Sarah failing to kill Dyson is pretty tough to beat... also, the John/Sarah argument over the chip - it the movie had been released post-Titanic or LotR, that scene would never have been cut.
