Yeah yeah, everyone loves Data...but Trek has had many other androids through out 40+ year run. What are some of your other favorite Androids/auto-robots?

Lal has to be one of mine. Offspring is one of my favorite episodes of all times, and seems to be up there where the cast of TNG is concerned as well...


Voyager has this episode where Blanna helps bring this robot looking thing (looks like that side kick on Buck Rogers) back to life and it becomes a very good episode about the prime directive...i liked the robot dude she be-friended...

It's one of my favorites too, probably the best Data-centered ep of them all.

Definitely Lal.

When I taught a course on human development we would watch that episode and then have a class discussion.

It was always one of my favorite lectures, not only because of Star Trek, but to see everyone's reaction to actually enjoying--and being moved--by Star Trek.


But yeah, she is my favorite other android and I still cry at the end.

Could you imagine being married to her? Or having her as a mother in law??? I can't blame harry for what he did...

I kind of liked the Robot in Tom's Capt Proton Holo-program, totally retro in nature, it was pretty cool. In "Night" Tom convinces Seven to partake in the program, and when the Robot tries to subdue Seven she says "I am Borg" and proceeds to open the chest plate and tear out a couple wires. The robot leans over. That scene always makes my laugh

You know, to be honest, I have never scene this one though I have all of Voyager on DVD...I will watch it this weekend and let you know what I think...
