Young Kirk - knowledge of old universe?

HGN2001

Captain
Captain
Since Spock Prime and young Kirk mind-melded, does young Kirk now possess all of Spock Prime's knowledge of the prior universe's unfolding?

In other words, will Kirk know that Khan's a bad guy the minute he meets him?

They gave the audience the sense Spock managed to only share with Kirk Nero's back story. It wouldn't much of a stretch for the writers to take that in either direction.

Spock only showed young Kirk what happened to cause Spock and Nero to travel back into the past, he didn't show him anything else.

It would be only logical.

And I'd like to think that, by his age, Spock has a wonderful control when doing a mind meld, seeing as how often he's done it. :D

Why would he meet Khan?

A great question. The writers, if they are smart, can use this to their advantage in later stories. I.e. it would be cool if young Kirk knew things from the other timeline from the meld beyond what we saw in the film.

Hopefuly he won't! This is a NU timeline for a reason people! Let's leave KAHHNNNNN! and the eugenics wars in the past, Young minds Fresh ideas, people remember that.

Relax people. I used Khan as an example. The universes - all of them - are full of unknowns and choices. But as Spock once said, "Time is like a river, with currents, eddies, etc." So if the currents of time once brought Kirk's Enterprise to Khan's sleeper ship, why is it somehow not possible to happen again.

I'm not suggesting that it's a good story idea or anything. In fact, I'd rather not go there. But is it not logical that some of the missions that Enterprise NCC-1701 once went on in the "old" universe, might happen again?
