You follow any cool blogs?

I just added the google reader widget to my igoogle, and wanna have more kick-ass things to read in there. So far I'm following:

http://sleeptalkinman.blogspot.com/

It's pretty hilarious. The English guy's wife jots down the crazy inappropriate things he says in sleep, and sometimes even records him.

and:

http://experimentaltheology.blogspot.com/

A psychologist's musings about how to apply religion to every-day life in a completely non-insane way!

How about you guys, recommendations?

Most of the blogs I follow are either friends/family, or ones I need to keep up with for professional development. I won't inflict those ones on you, since I'm probably the only person who reads about legal theory for fun.

However, I just discovered a humorous blog. http://copnattitude.blogspot.com/ It's the blog of a cop somewhere in the U.S. (He doesn't disclose his location, but I have my suspicions.) Half the time, I'm laughing at the stupid antics criminals pull, and half the time I'm shaking my head wondering how this guy ended up with a badge and a gun.

I don't really "follow" it, but i do read it when i can: Wil Wheaton's blog. It's the only one i have saved in my favorites anyway. I love his sense of humor and it just kills me that the guy is all grown up, has a wife and kids and survived child stardom.

Don't be a dick*. Read his blog.

(*his words, not mine)

He's one of my very good friends in RL. I don't agree with him on everything, but it's a pretty good blog.

You may have told me that before and my terrible, terrible memory has simply let it slip. Ah well, bookmarking! :D

Between LiveJournal and Twitter, I follow a few.

http://wilwheaton.typepad.com/
http://drexfiles.wordpress.com/ (Doug Drexler)
http://www.newsaskew.com/ (Kevin Smith & Co.)
http://ciclops.org/ (Carolyn Porco & Cassini Crew)
http://www.cheriepriest.com/ (author Cherie Priest)
http://whatever.scalzi.com/ (author John Scalzi)
http://www.feliciaday.com/
http://www.jewelstaite.com/
http://www.manchester.ac.uk/jodrellbank/ (Jodrell Bank Observatory, near Manchester, UK)
http://www.veronicabelmont.com/
http://www.angelenic.com/ (blog about life, events and general weird shit happening in downtown Los Angeles)
http://planetary.org/blog/ (Planetary Society blog, maintained by planetary geologist Emily Lakdawalla)

Several of these frequently link to other blogs, as well.

So far I've taken on:

brilliant

This one is mine. I'm an attention whore, none of you can judge me.
Geek O Rage

I'm in!

I really like MightyGodKing. It's got comics\pop culture stuff, and some great humour writing as well.

Some cool shit on there. I just don't get the dance blogs.

Where do you reckon he operates? I've read one so far, fascinating. I picture him sporting an Axe Cop look http://www.axecop.com/ (highly recommended web comic, y'all)

The experimental theology one I linked to just put up a video of an atheist giving a lecture about how science should take a stand on absolute truth when it comes to morality. Very interesting stuff. http://experimentaltheology.blogspot.com/2010/03/sam-harris-on-factvalue-split-can.html

I think I'll add a few more to my Google Reader :D

Marty Michaels has some good stuff on his blog. He only started it as he was starting fights on his social networking site blog and has a great love and understanding for classic and cult movies.

I put a few others up here - though two of them are forum members...

At first I suspected the midwest, but after reading the whole blog, I'm leaning toward somewhere in the southeast, probably southern Virginia or one of the Carolinas. He mentioned a snowstorm in February, and some of the racially tinged remarks are quite reminiscent of things people said when I lived in Virginia and North Carolina. Once I have a chance to do some legal research, I can narrow it down better. He said that his state is one of the few that outlaws radar detectors, so if I can figure out which states outlaw them, that will give me more info. (I'm in law school, so I love having practical legal research problems to sharpen my skills.)

^ I think North Carolina and Virgina both outlaw them.

As for me, I follow quite a few but not many that would interest anyone. Most of them are either Gay News, Gay Politics, Fashion/Model Photography, Entertainment, Art or Theater. I am also addicted to something called "blind item" celebrity gossip so I frequent several of those too.

And of course I visit several Trek/Special Effects blogs that some of you might find interesting. They are:

http://blog.darendoc.com/
http://johneaves.wordpress.com/
http://sovereignreplicas.com/

And like many of you, I also visit Doug Drexler's blog, which I can not recommend enough. Thanks to a mutual friend pointing me there, I was one of the first to visit and post when he started it over a year ago. Unfortunately his schedule only allows him to post once a month these days. :( I miss my weekly dose of Doug. The man started out as a fan and really knows what other fans want to know and see. Plus he is also knee deep in the world of BSG now so his blog has been a constant source of goodness and awesome!

That one is a favorite of mine too! (I completely missed it when I was going through my blog bookmark folder.) I spent hours looking over the images he posted of Phobos and the Martian avalanches.
