Yet another meaningless hypothetical question

Lets say its 15 years past WYLB (still working in the old trek timeline) and Jake is lonely for his dad's company. He uses connections and stumbles across an old Borg time shifter say from 31.

He gets his old buds Nog, Rom and perhaps Chief to install it on some type of ubiquitous starfleet ship. Chief sets the thing for SD 47987, around the time of the Odyessey incidient and the fc w/the Jem Hadar.

The prophets have no clue this is going on and his experiment in time is successful....will he see his dad aboard DS9? Or, will his dad be missing b/c he was/is/and always will be w/the prophets......no linear time.

Wouldn't it just be easier to go into the wormhole and scream "DAD I NEED TO TALK TO YOU?"

Simple as that (if you need any more help bring along an Orb and open it inside).

I never considered the Sisko's joining with the prophets to mean that he would disappear in the past. That would be very illogical, too, since that ultimately means there wouldn't be anyone named Jake Sisko in the first place. ;)

Funny. That's exactly what Jake did in the book Rising Son (or in a book right before it). Yeah I agree, it would be easier.

I hope Jake doesn't have to wait 15 years. Remember, one of the prophecies about the Emissary is that he will discover the Celestial Temple and there the Prophets will give him back his life.
