YAY! Good news from the cardiologist

I had a nuclear stress test on Monday (the 28th). Wow! Not really painful, except at the end with the caffeine-like stuff to normalize your body, but VERY "uncomfortable" from my neck down to my feet for a while there. No killer headaches, so I guess I was lucky. I asked Hubby on the way over if he minded going with. He said, "If anything bad happens to you, there's going to be one dead doctor in the room."

How sweet in a caveman/Sinatra-ish way.

Well, there IS some blockage showing up in the pictures, but it's not too bad. And I only have 1-2 of the 5 risk factors for heart disease. I've lost 8 pounds in the last 2 months--I think because I'm not sitting on my ass all day studying for the Bar--Doc is happy with that. So I'll continue to hit the gym and change my eating habits.

He did recommend a ct scan in Frisco. It seems doctors are busy getting certified to be able to perform this test (far cheaper and far safer than an angiogram) and need people to do it on for their certification. So Hubby and I will wait for him to settle into his new job, whichever that is, get the health plan stuff settled, and get the Doc to schedule it.

YAY! This is a BIG weight off my shoulders. I don't even care about the Bar results.

My very great thanks to everyone for their support.

This is great news. Congratulations. :bolian:

I knew everything would be okay. ;)

That's great news, propita. And great to here you are taking good care of yourself. It's always nice to get those clean bills of health early on so you know if you start living right your chances of having to worry in the future go way down.:techman:
