"For a limited time only (well, until the end of October) the Marketplace is running an ‘Extended Play Download Days’ promotion which is offering some pretty good savings on some of the more popular DLC.

Games include:
Mass Effect
Lost Odyssey
Forza Motorsport 2
Oblivion
Guitar Hero 3
Beautiful Katamari

Here is a list of all the content, the new pricing and the savings:"

Enjoy!

Its sods law, i mean i have the bloody thing for over 2 1/2 years and nothing, but the minute it goes belly up and i get rid of it they start with the price cuts and sales.....

I love how it's all the crap nobody cares about (Beautiful Katamari, Lost Odyssey) or the all the crap everybody already has (GH3, Mass Effect).

getting cheap enough to get another. ;)

Unfortunately it's a bit late for that now, i really could not justify having to start all over again with a new 360, plus i am still a bit pissed off at MS for wanting to charge me £70 to fix it when its quite clear that the machine itself failed due to over heating, but because it got only two light i had to pay for the privilege of MS making mistakes in the 360 build, as if paying £280 was not enough, and then my annual gold subscription, and my extra controllers, and my Vision cam, and my offical mem cards for backups, and all my arcade games and dlc, and all my games.......as if that were not enough they wanted more.

update for COD4 fans

"
Heads up that this weekend from Friday the 12th - Sunday the 14th on Xbox Live (PS3 event will be later, closer to the 18th), we’ll be having Double XP all weekend long on every playlist. In addition, we’ll be doing some DLC promotion on the Xbox Live Marketplace that will allow you to download the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack for 50% off, which means you’ll be able to snag all four maps for just 400 MS points.
That’s not all though, thanks to so many of you who have written in and requested; we’ve been able to work it out to get the Prestige Gamer pic pack back on the marketplace for download for all those who missed out on it’s limited offering during our last LIVE fire weekend. "

Well, with all the other games coming out (Rock Band 2 this Sunday!) for me the 5 bucks would be better spent importing Rock Band 1 songs than anything else.

The maps seem tempting, but once CoD"5" comes out, no one will be playing 4.

Not necessarily. Let's see if 5 can fly, first. As for the map pack-you are right-save your money. We usually veto 2/3 that come up in multiplayer and the fourth is almost never seen cause its too small for most game types.

Heh, go figure.
I really wish people would see the value in the Valve model of supporting games and just see these map things as ways to keep people interested rather than another 10 bucks they can milk off of people.

That said, if they've sold like 2 million of the things, I guess I can't blame them.

EA have been surprisingly smart about that with Burnout Paradise, every DLC release thus far has been free. It's kept the game on my radar consistently and I'll definitely end up picking it up in a couple of months.

October/November is going to be nuts though, I feel bad for some of the good games that might get crushed. Even on the single platforms there's a ton of stuff, if you're a multiplatform owner, your wallet could be screaming.

Well, unless you own a Wii... yay Animal Crossing and Wii Music? :p
But yeah, Burnout Paradise seems to be the exception to the rule on the console space. The lower price seems to be a "second go", where as most games would be dead after 8 months.
Of course, way off topic, but my problem with that game is how it's been designed, but that's a different thing I guess. :)
