X-wing miniatures game

I'm not sure if this should go here or gaming so hopefully a friendly mod can putt me into the right hole.
Either way I was wondering if anyone else plays the X-wing miniatures game. I'm a rebel player mostly with a decent collection of Imps and a small smattering of Scum. Figured now would be a good time to talk as version one is coming to an end and soon version two will be opening up it's engines.
Any serious tournament players here, any thoughts or feelings on what the future holds for the game.
With the first order and resistance need bumping up what ships would you like to see join the ranks and same goes for the rumoured republic and CIS? Do you welcome the force or think it will break the game? Are you good with the app or long for the days where everything was on the cards in front of you and do you think the new bases will be better made to hold the lovely little model starships.

Or is everyone here playing Star Trek attack wing instead?
