X-Force: Bastion/Nimrod

Ok..here's something I don't get. In the first arc of X-Force, the Purifiers brought back Bastion using Nimrod's body and Bastion's head. They said they found Nimrod's body in a "mutant stronghold" in Teaxs, most likely Forge's Eagle Plaza. Here's what I don't get. In the Nimrod arc of New X-Men, Nimrod's time machine was activated, and he was sent back in the past again to when he first came to the 616 universe, back in the 1980s.

So my question is this: If Nimrod went back in time at the end of that arc, how was his body there for the Purifiers to retrieve? I didn't see that they clearly explained this in the first six issues.

They're using the old Nimrod body, the one that was damaged; Nimrod transferred himself into Forge's new body, and then got sent back in time.

Ah, now that you mention it, I do recall he had Forge build him/adapt another body for him. I'll need to go back and re-skim the issues, but I think I recall now his other body just falling to the floor once he'd downloaded himself to the new one. Thanks.
