I'm reminded of this line from Shawshank Redemption
Red: [narrating]" I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are best left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't be expressed in words, and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man in Shawshank felt free."

The article I read about her said she learned to sing from youtube lessons, so not quite "never taken a lesson", but still impressive.

That's some natural talent. I hope it doesn't get squished, ever!

Funny thing is, I've always been able to sing pretty good, too. I thought it was something everybody could do, but I was kind of shy about it. Found out I could sing like Ariel when I sang along with Part of your World every single time I watched The Little Mermaid.

That girl has a beautiful, clear soprano voice. She's welcome in my choir any day! :)
