If I could, would change the storyline…
1
The Will Riker and Troy, would have made a good marriage, and telepathic children would have been really fun. Worf could have shown us some full on Klingon fun with various half or full Klingon women. All complimenting one another… Seems People thought Riker flirting was cute, so they didn’t want to change that, yet the attractions was smooth. As a kid, I remember audio book story with them stranded on planet, they had to sleep together nude and all etc… but of course both keep their composer and he sleeps in front. For me, I think it gave me a good example of a strong (then) story in which they are both desiring and respecting full self-control.. I don’t even know of another example, and even that example was never made into TV.

I think I’d have broken the make no inference clause, and maybe a civil federation war, supporting intervention, and then realizing that another species was only allowed to save the entire federation if they themselves allowed such intervention onto saving unworthy subspecies (comes off that way, doesn’t it)
3
Romulans… Picard was all into artifacts, and it was revealed that everyone in the sector was related, yet that never went anywhere, like there was a block on the development of Romulans. Maybe it was too much to do… as in if they are all united no conflict and its boring, too much conflict and its too chaotic?

Dr Crusher should have died as a character after they decided her son would no longer be this amazing important person, which was being setup. They didn’t use Jordi much either, if he had to diminish roles, perhaps to fulfill personal obligations, they should have just maxed his work and killed his character.
