Worst tv show theme songs

I always thought Queen's hard-rocking "Princes of the Universe," the theme from Highlander, seemed glaringly inappropriate for a fantasy-action-adventure show.

Yep. I never saw the original film. Maybe the song worked better on the big screen.

I dislike most of the 80's theme songs with lyrics: Golden Girls is among the worst, along with Charles in Charge, Different Strokes, The Facts of Life, Family Ties, etc.

In freshman year, I had a roommate who couldn't fall asleep unless she was watching her Golden Girls dvds. In the middle of the night, I would wake up to the menu screen playing the theme song over and over again. I think that must be what hell is like.
