Worst TOS kitbashes?

Acenos

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Are there any ships out there that people made that could potentially be a contender for the Worst TOS kitbash in the fandom?

im still waiting on someone to do a Captshade style ortho of the TOS USS Forrestal ship from a mod for ST: Bridge Commander. I may modify the proxima class battleship

you've considered updating the Space Battleship Yamato section by adding the 2199 ships yet?

and not to be rude fix the pic of my Minerva Mink Class on there? it still has a section cut out from Bottom of saucer. Also someday if its ok make a cool 3 view schematic of one of the N'Redomm class ships :)

I refuse to be so rude as to pick on anyone else's bashes, tho.

I agree. Because my own designs can be bad, I don't like criticizing anyone else's. But if someone who doesn't design ships wants to criticize designs, please have fun.

Note: Holy cow! On 137th Gebirg's page, the most designs are 375 by Neal "Vance" Davidson (also 103 by Dirk Jansen and 78 by Ian Keldon). Its got only 19 designs by me and 2 named after me. I beat Forbin by 1! Yeah me!

Yep, Neale was one of my most prolific contributors back in the day, and he did some really good ones, too. He wasn’t one of those guys who took someone else’s existing design, moved the warp engines 5 pixels south and called it a new ship. His untimely death was a horrible loss to the fandom. He was a truly good dude in the short time I knew him. Ian Keldon followed in that tradition by making some really imaginative designs with Neale’s toolkits for several years.

Heres Ian's Dev Art page https://www.deviantart.com/morgandonovan/gallery/?catpath=/

I miss Neale :( His Death was a severe loss to the Starship design fandom :(

Hearing about Neale makes me depressed about this post. So, rather than making fun of anyone else's work, I'll tell you about my worst design. It's not a kitbash, but I once designed a Gorn ship (for TOS's Arena) that basically looked like a spiked, big-mouthed lizard with warp nacelles. Sort of like the comically bad Muppet ship from "Pigs in Spaaacceee," but I wasn't trying to be funny. After that I never again tried to design non-UFP ships (except Klingon and Romulans, which are easy). Hail Starfleet!

I once made a combo of a Oberth mixed with a submarine.. no idea what the occasion was, something about how starships would do when dropped into an ocean, anyway, didn't look too good...

And I even named one after you (well, Warped9 named it after you, and I built a model of it).
