Worst CG shot in the trilogy?

The YouTube quality isn't as crisp as Bluray so it doesn't show up as well as it might. Here's a still from the 4k screengrabs on Trekcore, but it's best seen in motion. There's a weird fuzzy thing going on around their legs as they cross the car.

Yeah, it looks like they walk through the shadow of the car, which for some reason is way into the crosswalk. Not sure if they actually go through it or not, but I suspect it's an optical illusion or some bad compositing.

the sequence in beyond where kirk and jaylah beam to krall's base while also riding a motorcycle is the worst of the three films in my opinion:

but it's a high bar, i think these films are mostly flawless visually.

This is the only one that comes to mind, quite honestly. The Kelvin series of films is absolutely gorgeous from an FX standpoint.

I still think this shot is perfectly acceptable, to be honest I think some of the bits right at the end of the film when Pine is fighting Elba are around the same standard - ie, not perfect but still decent.

Yeah, picking one "best shot" would be impossible.

This will always be a favorite, though:

I think if this had been the first view everyone got of the Kelvin Enterprise, it wouldn't be hated as much. That first angle shown the public was awful and had bad lens distortion.
