Worst CG shot in the trilogy?

I was reading this article on the noticeably poor CGI in Black Panther and the reasoning behind it, and it reminded me of a very brief but noticeably weak shot in the otherwise visually-excellent Star Trek Beyond, where we get a close-up of the Kelvin Pods launching from the bridge:

Featuring especially dodgy bump-mapping (or whatever they call it these days) and a weirdly distorted bridge behind the window. Another weak shot was the quick glimpse of Kirk running through an overly-shiny CG version of the saucer plaza from Into Darkness on his way to separate the saucer.

Did anyone else notice any noticeably poor CG in the Kelvin Trek movies?

I wouldn't by any stretch say "poor" but many of the break up shots as the Enterprise is being attacked by the swarm lack the photoreal quality of shots in ST09 or STID. It's still really good mind you, but somehow ILM's work edges it out.

I just remembered another one! The guy who glitches through the front of a car during the San Francisco chase in Star Trek Into Darkness. Check out the guy on the left at :45

I'm struggling to be honest. I think the visual effects are excellent across all three movies, I can't think of anything off hand that stands out as poor. There's shots that I don't like, subjectively, which I suppose is a debate for another thread, but nothing I'd consider poor by any stretch. Maybe the films are still a bit new. Mind you the first one will be a decade old in a little over a year.

Good excuse as any for a rewatch...

hard to come up with something but think might have...

the big eyed nurse at start of ST09 at the time even looked too CGy (funny because didn't even need to be big eyed 'alien' she could've just been human)

the sequence in beyond where kirk and jaylah beam to krall's base while also riding a motorcycle is the worst of the three films in my opinion:

but it's a high bar, i think these films are mostly flawless visually.

Definitely agree. There's a moment where she turns her head and the size/location of her eyes doesn't stay consistent with the front-on shot.

Also the weird 'smoke trail' later wasn't too good

Flawless? Probably not, but close enough for my enjoyment.

Yeah me too. Another decade and I think we'll start to see it age, but for me it all generally looks great. Maybe we ought to be asking what people think is the best effects shot.

I thought of one more: A scene recycled from the cut Klingon attack on the Narada, re-purposed for just before the fleet arrives at Vulcan, where they'd CG'd in Nero's damaged ear. Click!

There would be too many to choose from!! My favourites are the city sequences from Into Darkness. The blend between CG and reality is flawless, and future-Earth looks amazing.

Actually, it's two people walking side by side, nit they do appear to go through the car/

Yeah, picking one "best shot" would be impossible.

This will always be a favorite, though:

Yeah I always liked that shot, I like that it showed the enterprise moving in a different way to what we're used to, sort of sideways, and the CG is flawless.

I don't see anything wrong.
The YouTube quality isn't as crisp as Bluray so it doesn't show up as well as it might. Here's a still from the 4k screengrabs on Trekcore, but it's best seen in motion. There's a weird fuzzy thing going on around their legs as they cross the car.
